Recently I have become addicted to lean cuisine meals. I have 1 a day as my main meal. I can usually finish the smaller ones but that concerns me. They only average 8-9 oz's.... Does that seem like too much food? I hate worrying all the time. thanks for your help.. becky (down 102 lbs since 10/1/04)

WOW!!!! 102 since Oct. 1st. Holy cow thats awsome. I've only lost 41# so far. I'd say the lean Cuisine is working for you. I can eat about 1/2 that at a meal. But we are all differant. Barbara

Becky First congrats on your remarkable weight loss. I checked by food plan and it says 3 small meals (approximately 1/2 cup or 4 oz) at regular times with between meal snacks are recommended each day. Of course, all surgeons have different plans. Sheryl

I can eat a whole mexican tv dinner. My pouch seemed to hold more than normal from the begining. I'm down 62 pounds since Oct. 18th. Sandi

Since most days I don't have ANY interest in eating 5-6 times a day, the dietician recommended the Lean Cuisine entrees that have about 8 oz in them. Select those with a portion of meat in them as the main 'event'. They typically have sauces on them that make eating the meat easier. I keep them in the freezer - but have gotten tired of them so don't eat them daily any longer. I was having 1 per day at dinnertime. I've thought all along that I can at times get too much food in, but was told that as long as I get the nutritional requirements met in 3 meals a day, it is ok - There seem to be several days when I can't get much in and tend to go to soups, Atkins canned shakes, milk, a few almonds, etc.. I wouldn't worry. It sounds like you're doing just fine.

I eat a lean cuisine carb control or weigh****chers carb control every day and most of the time I can finish a whole one. Also my nutritionist said that she believes the weight of a lean cusine is 9oz but that is w/ the container. I did measure one out one day and it weighed 5 oz. Judging from your weight loss I think whatever you are doing is working (If it ain't broke don't fix it!) Good Luck to you!

Hi Becky, I am so glad you posted this. I have been eating a meal very similar to what you describe and it made me worry that I have been able to eat the whole thing. I can't fini**** everytime, but at times I can. Now I know that I am not the only one and I feel much better. I really thought something was wrong, especially after I finished one that was 9oz. Everyones responses to your post have helped me and just the fact that you can eat them as well has eased my mind. Thanks! Congratulations on your wonderful loss. As another has said, if it isn't broken, don't fix it! You are doing wonderfully! Amber 304/238/?

My dietician said lean cuisine's and smart ones are fine as long...just so you know....smart one's makes a new one called truth about carbs. They are strictly meat and veggies, low carb and most are over 20 grams of protein and low fat. Little bit smaller portion too. They work great for me. Good luck! Lisa -71 lbs
