HI! Surgery Oct 14, 04. Weight when journey started 310lbs Weight before surgery 276 Current weight #222. I have lost about 73 lbs since I started this journey. This was the best thing I have ever done. I have fibromalygia and when I was 70lbs heavier I could not walk for long without cronic pain, now I can move better. Still have the issues with the fibro; but I would do it again in a heart beat. Congrats to all the wls members on the other side and well wishes to the ones awaiting approval. I can eat most food, chicken, tuna, salmon, steak & chili. I love salads with tuna or chicken. I wish to tell every one to have a Happy New Year!

Surgery: Oct 26th Weight before surgery: 283.5 Weight now: 227.5 LOSS: 56#'s I tried chicken, yuck. Chicken doesn't agree with me. It gets stuck. I get about 40 oz water in daily, all my protein. Now the exercise bit is a different story....but I will work on it. Congrats to all the October Babies. Life only gets better from here on.

Surgery 10/21/04 Weight Before Surgery: 377 Weight Now: 292 Loss: 85#s So many things to say not enough room. I eat mostly what I want, Have problems when I try to eat heavier foods, like eggs in the morning do betther with oatmeal or farina. I can digest milk. I have eaten Spaghetti with meat sauce, Ground Beef,Chili, Fish, Cooked Cabbage, and Carrotts. I can eat mostly what I want as long as I focus on eating it slowly. Somethiings I tolerate better than others, and some things I can eat more of with no problems. however I still watch the portion size. I try to get three meals in a Day. I have not eaten any bread yet. I still don't get hungry and feel better than I have in years. Hopefully will keep on feeling good.

I'm sooo excited!!! I have passed down under!!(the 200 mark) I am 98# post surgery and feeling great! I am eating veggies again and it's been strange. I crave different things than I did before. No sweets or bad stuff really, but I crave veggies and fruits. I get some weird cravings, like Asparagus sautaed in roasted garlic and oil, or fresh string beans steamed with almonds and fresh mushrooms!!!(before surgery, not my fav veggies!) I had one episode of throwing up when I ate chicken breast too fast one night. Eating most anything in moderation and SLOWLY ( a hard thing for most of us to learn!!!). Refined sugar is a dumpers nightmare! Protein drinks, Please won't someone come up with an alternitive!!?? I need the shakes, as I don't really have an appetite w/o them. I HATE them!! I've had so many kinds and have had dumping from most of them. So hard to get back onto them when they scare ya from trying the next one! Have found one I can tolerate IF I eat something first!!!Not on empty stomach!! Some days I dump, most I don't w/it. The bars are so Yuky!! I am buying clothes and loving it, wearing a little makeup and taking care of my skin now!!! My best day was the one where my neighbor(not a close one) missed me in the grocery store and then didn't recognise me when I had to physically stop her to say Hi!!! Janee
