Hello all you october babys!!! Give yourselfs a round of applause we all look FAB~U~LOS!!! No matter how much lost?, how many sizes down? just hold your head up and say DAMN I LOOK GOOD!!!!!Just think 4 months ago this loss was still a dream!I'm proud of each and every one of us!!With that said heres my question. This may sound stupid but here it goes~~ has any one tryed any thing from taco bell? I've been craving a taco for a week now but i'm kind of scared to try.I have a habit of getting sick when i eat out.I make my own barretos(sp?) with whole wheat wraps.and they do fine but a supreem(sp?)taco would taste better than a milkyway to me at this point.

I eat taco bell. I can usually eat the beans and cheese, or maybe 1 taco, or half of a bean burrito. I resently had some of the beans and cheese with a few tortilla chips also. I LOVE to add the HOT sauce. Robin G DS on 10/26/04 249/197/130's down 52 pounds

I have eaten the inside of a meximelt and also have eaten 1/2 a chicken quesadilla (I ask for it light on the sauce and well toasted) It has gone down very well. The hard taco since it tends to be greasy I am scared to try it.

I tried one of the rice bowls -- that was a mistake. I also had one of the mexican pizzas, and it stayed down ok. Must have been just the rice in the bowl thing I had. And I know others who have had the refried beans and the new cheesy potatoes with no problems. I've also had a taco salad from another mexican place, and did good with it too. So I would assume that a supreme taco would be ok.

I haven't tried it yet. I'm not supposed to have red meat or rice until about 4-6 months out. When I get a craving for mexican, I cook a chicken breast on my George Foreman grill and put 2 Tbsp. of Ortega Taco Sauce and a little shredded cheddar cheese on it. Yummy! I did try it with a whole wheat wrap, but I liked it better without the wrap. Go figure!

I do Taco Bell a lot. I've had the beans with cheese, a chalupa without the lettuce and tomato and crispy tacos with just the meat and cheese. As long as I take tiny bites and chew really well, I've had no problems. I'd stay away from the jalapenos, and vegetables, but a dob of sour cream sounds good on them. I'm lucky if I can finish one. Oh, and it's really important to eat slowly. I tend to take to big a bite first and then pay for it.

Me and flour tortillas do NOT get along. They just feel like a blob of glue in my pouch. However, corn tortillas are okay. I've heard tell that Taco Bell is reluctant to share their nutrition info because it's prepared with so much fat. Don't know if that's true, but I'd venture carefully. Today I had the Wendy's small chili and was quite pleasantly surprised. And they gave me a nutritional info sheet that said the small chili is 200 cal, only 5 grams of fat, and best of all 17 grams of protein! I added 4 saltine crackers and couldn't finish the whole thing. VERY satisfying. I've had corn tortillas with a little guacamole, lettuce, and tomato and did well. Also, with cheese only. It seems strange to me that flour products don't do well but scratchy corn tortillas...even whole wheat bread do fine. Something about the gluten, I suppose. Good luck! Claudia 291/241 now/155 goal

I haven't been to Taco Bell, but I have had a mexican frozen dinner. It has two small enchilatias and rice and refried beans. Tastes great and feels good in the pouch. Sandi

I have had taco bell and it does taste better than a milkyway!! I tried it first with a soft shell only meat and cheese, but now I have moved up to a hard taco, meat and cheese. I just eat it real slow and chew very well. I can't finish a taco. I just got done eating a half of one when I read this. You can go to taco bell.com and get the nutrional values. I hard taco has 10 grams of fat and 8 grams of protein. (if i read it right). If I know that I am going to eat a taco that is usually my high fat count for the day, the rest of the day it is all low fat! I hope we helped you with this!
