Hair Loss anyone?

OK, in the last week, I have noticed when my hair is wet that I can see my scalp a little more. I am not worried (yet) as I can wear my hair straight or let it curl up in which it always looks thicker. But in the shower this morning I noticed more hair than usual. I have not started any additional zinc or anything extra. I get in all my protein, fluids, vitamins and close to if not over 800 calories a day now, so my nutritionist says I am doing good. My docs office says that as long as I keep doing this right my hair shouldn't be too bad. But I have this nagging feeling that since it's started, it's going to continue. Anyone else noticed anything and if so, have you done any preventative measures to help stop the loss? Thanks! Beth

I started taking Biotin shortly after surgery, to help minimize hair loss. I am 3 mos out, and havent really noticed any hair loss (nothing more than the norm) yet. I'm hoping I dont lose too much, otherwise I may be going into hiding!!!! (haha)

no hair loss here everything seems in place I just had some blood work done and protien levels and everything else were fine. i think some of it is genetics though my cholesterol had never been higher then 170 and right now is 144, and I never did eat the good stuff lol

I swear that I am losing mine. Actually, it seems like a lot is missing! I usually have rather thick hair, so no one else really notices it. It is still a full head of hair, just I notice a big difference. Usually I can't get it all up in a clip and now it is easy to do! I also noticed a change in my hairline when my hair pulled back, I can see scalp much more than before. I was worried a bit at first, but really it is a small price to pay. I have had roughly the same hair for the past almost eight years, so it is time for a change! (Maybe, if I can keep my long hair for a while more I will!) Good luck with yours! Amber Oh yeah, I began taking Biotin before surgery, stopped for surgery, and then began again after surgery and I get all of my protein in!

I'm starting to lose my hair...just a small handful in the shower drain every morning. I have thick hair, so it's not noticeable. I just hope it doesn't get any worse.
