I told my supervisor's and they told everyone else. I guess I was the gossip while I was gone. When I came back everyone knew. It didn't really bother me, just the looks I still get. Some people when the saw me after I came back would look at me from head-to-toe and I hate that stare!

I tell everyone that will listen to me... I have waited 2 years to have this surgery and before and after having this surgery, I have worked very hard to get the pounds off. I have lost a total of 57 pounds. There are somepeople that feel they need to question my eating habits, but I just tell them that I am doing fine and do not need a food-sitter. There is a girl that works with me that got surgery 2.5 years before me and she chose not to tell ANYONE, except 2 close friends and me (I am in HR and process the FMLA claims).Anyways, I have heard a number of people in the lunch room talking about her and making very rude comments that they know she had surgery and she is lying, and yada, yada, yada!!! One girl even asked me about that other girl. Which I hold her information very confidential. She started in on me.."I know thatyou know if she had surgery." I said "What did she tell you?" She said "She says she didn't" I said "Then she didn't, why are you prying into her life?" She said "I just want to know" I said "I don't know anything" Then there is another girl at my work that had it and she just told everyone that she switched to eating happy meals instead of eating value meals. Even though that is what she is saying, everyone knows what she actually did and it is ruining her credibility, even though it is none of anyones business. I am very open with it in hopes that I can help someone else who is on the fence about this surgery. I can share my wonderful experience and maybe they can take the extra step to save their life. The people that I do not know will walk by me and say "I love your hair" or "I love your outfit" because they realize that something is different but con't pinpoint it. But the people that know me will come see me often and tell me how great I look and ask how I am doing,etc...It feels greatto have so much attention. Best wishes, Jennifer -57 (-42 since surgery) 237/222/180/135 45 pounds til goal...
