HAS THIS HAPPEN TO ANYONE ELSE? I AM NOT LOOSING WEIGHT ANYMORE. WHAT IF IT HAS STOPPED WHAT IF I DON'T LOOSE ANYMORE AND I AM FAILING AT THIS ALSO. I AM SO MAD AND FRUSTRATED. I DON.T KNOW WHAT TO DO. I WAS DOWN TO 242 AND NOW I AM 245 I DON'T UNDERESTAND WHAT IS HAPPENING. I FEEL LIKE I AM GOING BACK TO MY OLD HABITS. WHEN I GET HOME FROM WORK I AM CONSTANLEY NIBLING ON STUFF. I DON'T THINK ANY THING BAD. I EAT TURKY SLICES. FRESH COOKED SOY BEANS. YOGERT OR COTTAGE CHEESE. I HAVE BEEN KIND OF BAD. I BOUGHT SOME RAW PISTACHIOS AND BEEN EATING THOSE TOO. I CHEW THEM A LOT. I THINK I AM NOT LOOSING BECAUSE OF THAT. WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK? YOUR RESPONSES REALLY HELPS. THANKYOU

Niblling is not a good thing to do even if you are doing high protein. To much protein can turn to fat just like any other calorie if you eat to much. I wasn't cleared to have nuts of any kind until my 6 week check up. Try to have 3 meals a day and only calorie free drinks between. I think you will find a differance. Best of luck to you, Barbara

Dont get fustrated. This happens to everyone. I stood two whole weeks without losing and gained one pound. its normal. Just relax, eat your three meals like the doctor said , your protien and your water. Sometimes it could also be your friend visiting in the month. That definatley happened to me. Just relax, and enjoy what you have already lost. The mind is tricky. That is why i havent bought a scale yet, because i know i will torture myself every day. I weigh myself in the doctors appointments. God bless you, Lisa Gonzalez

Hi Atousa, Apparently that is normal. The same thing happened to me. I am 5 weeks out today and last week I gained 4 lbs! I have just now lost the 4 lbs that I had gained. Strange. Are you doing any exercises at all? Nibbling is a no-no though. I know it is hard but you should really try not to snack. I would stay away from the nuts as well since they can be hard on your stomach as well as being very fattening. I know it is difficult - I have a houseful of people eating cookies, cakes, rolls, ice cream, etc. all day and it is difficul****ching them eat those things knowing that I cannot have them. You can do it though. Good luck and take care. Rachella

relax we all have that happen I weight daily which i shouldn't and noticed that i have plateau and sometimes gained. Especially around that time of the month. Its really scientific calories in cs calories spent and at this point none of us can eat as much calories to sustain a 100 over our weight sooo we are bound to loose we cant help but to loose. Try not to weight daily if it is getting you down and if you must weight daily know that plateaus and the occational pound or two is normal and you are prolly just retaining water around that time of month. Relax and enjoy the ride my doc said its real simple you just can not eat enough to sustain the weight your at now. im about 80 lbs overweight now down from 283 to 254 and i stalled for two weeks and even gained then last week ta da it started coming off again...Also try www.fitday.com and you can put in daily food intake and see calories in and calories burned on average im burning three times as much as im taking in kindest regards deborah gale

Hi there. I also had a stall between weeks 3 and 4. I was so frustrated. I just upped my calories for 2 days and the weight started coming off again. I was in starvation mode, so once my body knew it was going to get more food (800 calories worth). It let go again. Good luck, Jennifer -50 (-35 since surgery) 237/222/187/135 52 pounds to go...

Several things here in your post 1. STOP NIBBLING, you can eat right through you pouch by doing that. 3-5 small meals per day (depending on you doctor). It doesnt matter if they are good things or bad, nibbling itself is bad. 2. could it just be that time of the month, water weight can add n some temp pounds. 3. YOu know you have been bad, now stop it. THe surgery is a tool, not the cure. Just like anything else, if you don;t use it properly, it will not work. 4. are you getting some exercise? Upping that will help. 5. get in that support group. Maybe another way to find one is to go to your doctor and ask if he or the local hospital has one. Good Luck, Dan

I agree stop the nibbling. My doc says when my weight loss slows to measure myself, I am probably losing inches, but not pounds. What that means is your muscle mass is increasing so you don't see the weight loss ofr a short time. I also was told it could be too few calories and that your body thinks it is in starvation mode.

Unfortunatly you have to stop the nibbling. if for no other reason than it's hard to keep track of how much you're putting in your mouth. make sure you're not drinking while eating since this will push the food out of your pouch faster and you will feel hungry sooner. Also If you are not eating enough say atleast 6 to 8 hundred calories per day your body will stop it self from losing weight so as not to starve. Try to keep track of every thing you put in your mouth, not easy I know, however it is important. Lastly It could be water weight from your period, which I went through, I did'nt gain But did not lose for almost a week!!!! was not happy, but there is nothing we can do about it! try to stay away from the scale, once a week is more than enough, avoid it all together when your premenstral. Hope all goes well for you.
