Hi everyone! I just found this part of the website. I am so happy to be able to talk to others who had surgery around the same time as me. I have been reading some of the other posts and I so relieved!!! I have similar issues to many of you who have just recently been posting: I have not thrown up anything- I have been worried about stretching out my pouch and wondering if I got a "placebo" surgery! I have been on a horrible plateau for about 1 and 1/2 weeks, along with my period and constipation! It has been getting really frustrating and depressing! I keep wondering if the surgery is really going to work but I guess I am just being silly- I am down 24 pounds and am 19 days out. I look forward to getting to know you all better and sharing our experiences with one another!

Hi Ana I can understand where you are coming from on the "placebo" surgery. I had my surgery on 10.12.04, and I often think the same things, no eating issues, no tummy issues, other than come small scares on my tummy it looks like and feels like no real change. But I will say I'm not really hungry and sometimes I get full very easy. I told my Mom just tonight this is awesome, I was really worried about having issues but knock on wood none todate. And remember 24 lbs in 19 days is WOW moment, when have we ever lost that much in the same amount of time. Plus is will work, just have faith and stay positive about the whole process and it will work!! Best of Luck! Sherrie -29

Hi Ana, Don't feel bad. I have lost 27lbs and I had my surgery 20days ago. Oct. 26th. I am constapated, and bloated due to my cycle. I do not want to get the scale right now I would be depressed. My pouch lets me know if I am eating too much. I start burping, and my stomach starts hurting. I can't eat reg. food yet, I am still eating pureed food. I have tried alot of stuff, but its like the more protein I try to take in, the more food comes up. and getting in that protein for me as well as water has been very hard. I get in less then 500 caleries a day. and about 1/2 of my liquids. I ask myself why am I losing so slow. I don't know the answer, but my doc says its good if you lose it slow then fast. I would not worry too much about it. and weigh your self once a week, not everyday, or you will be depressed. because one day it will show 1 lb down, then 2lbs up... Good luck, and if you would like to email me your welcome to anytime.... [email protected], any one is welcome. Talk to you soon. Detra
