LOOKS JUST LIKE ME......

HI. JUST WONDERING? OUT OF ALL THE OCTOBER POST OPS- DID ANYONE GET A TERRIBLE WOUND INFECTION OR FLUIDS ACCUMULATED IN THE ABDOMEN AREA LIKE ME? BECAUSE THIS IS GETTING ME MISERABLE. CANNOT MOVE AROUND STRAIGHT, CANNOT SIT WITHOUT PAIN AND CANT SLEEP WITHOUT PAIN. CAN ANYONE RELATE OR GIVE SOME ADVICE????? VERY DESPERATE NOW!!!! THEY HOSPITALIZED ME AGIAN AND MADE A CT SCAN. IT IS WATER AND BLOOD ACCUMULATED AND DOCTOR SAID MY BODY WILL ABSORB IT. I DONT THINK SOOOOO!!!!!! KEEPS GETTING BIGGER AND BIGGER!!!!! thanks, LISA

WELL, I SEE NO ONE POSTED ANY ADVICE. THAT MEANS THAT ALL THE SURGERYS HAVE BEEN PERFECT. WELL GOD BLESS YOU ALL. AND BY THE WAY, IF ITS ANY ONES INTEREST.... THEY OPENED UP MY BELLY AGAIN... IT WAS A PUS ACCUMULATION, LIKE I THOUGHT. FEELING BETTER ANY WAY. THANKS FOR ALL THE KIND ADVICE. FEELING KIND OF LONELY ON THIS PATH. WE ARE SUPPOSED TO SUPPORT ONE ANOTHER, I GUESS ON THIS SITE. I'm sorry you feel unsupported. When something happened that is not the norm then you will not find as much help as it is "not the norm". That doesn't mean we don't care. It just means we don't know what advice to give. We don't want to suggest anything that might cause more problems. I think theres a forum on this site for people with complications. You might try that area. No advice just caring here. It sounds like what happened was terrible. Sharing with others what happened is good because everyone needs to know of possible problems.

I don't have that kind of complication, But, my advice is to get a second opinion for your own safety and health. I'm sure they will have an idea or two. God Bless Al

Hi Lisa, I am so sorry that your journey has began in such a trying way. I can only imagine how alone you must feel. I know it is hard to believe right now, but you will get everything straightened out and your journey will get better. If you ever need to talk or vent just send me an email. I will do everything I can to support you. I know, it seems like there is no one who cares, but really people do. Lisa, I had surgery on October 28 th. I got a bad wound infection while in the hospital. 7 days later I could not move and had to have the wound opened up and the most fowelest most rotten stuff came pouring out of it. I had to take 30,000 mg of antibotics a day for 7 days and it had to be cleaned and packed daily. Today it is healing but I still have a large hole that I can not let close up until it in healed and not draining anymore.Please get yourself to a doctor as you can get the infection onto your blood stream.
