Had My Surgery on the 19th

Well, the wait is finally over, it's done, now it time to heal. Everything was by the book, couldn't ask for anything else. Only problem was the baratric unit was full and I had to be move to the hospital floor. I hear the Bariatric Unit, is the best place for recovery, I got good care from the nurses that helped me. But in the unit all meds are given on time, no asking 3 to 4 times, to where the pain got out of hand. It's over, it could have been worse, they could have kept me another day or so. Just looking at my staples, get those out in 2 weeks on my follow up. Can't wait for that. I think the 2-week liquid diet, is going to be the death of me after all this. All is well, Just using baby food and lots of fluid. Anyone having the lap band done, and want the straight forward answers, about recovery, pain, and all other general questions. Congratulations and welcome to the club! I wish you a speedy and successful recovery and know that we have something in common, we had our surgery on the same day and I am doing great except for the liquid diet I think I am going to go crazy LOL! Monica
