In and out
I had my VBG-to-RNY revision surgery at JFK Hospital in Lantana, Florida on Friday, October 8th, 2004, Dr. Robert Liem attending.
I was subsequently released from the hospital seven days later and am staying with some good friends--although, truth-be-told, I feel well enough to be on my own again.
Neat stuff: Entered hospital at 340 lbs. Currently weigh 311 lbs and continuing to plummet like a rock.
Not-so-neat stuff: External sutures are somewhat weepy and I have to change dressings daily--myself--seemingly blindfolded. Ahh, well. A few weeks, and this too will be a distant memory.
Still on liquids, but will advance to puree in a few weeks.
Keepin' on keepin' on,
