3 days away name on surgery list

Well went to the surgery dates and my name is there....is it just me or does that totally freak anyone else out seeing their name on upcoming surgeries. They are up to oct GULP you guessed it my date 19th. Anyways kinda funny ive been watching the boards daily but have noticed that the closer my day gets the less I post.>>>Dont know why guess its nervous energy. Im trying to decide if i want my kids to go to the 6 hour drive with me. I have to go to the hospital the night before sooo im thinking I will want to see my kids the day of the surgery. they are 8 9 and 12.Thing is then i have to have a place for em all to stay. Feed them also while away from home which wont be cheap. Financially makes sense for them to stay hom while I go....My nerves though tell me i want them there. Anyone else have any thoughts about this. kindest regards deborah gale

Best of luck to you Deborah. I also have my surgery on Oct.19,04. About your children I would want my children there also but I would not be able to afford it so I would have to leave them home and just phone them It won't be the same but it will help. Open comunication is the thing that helps me most. I worked an hour away from home full time as my children were growing up and they were home a lot and I always called my self the phone mom but it seemed to have worked because I have great Children. I have two adult children and I want them to come but my son can not get off work so he said he will call and come later. My daughter is coming as well as my hubby of 25 years. Hi I am Scheduled for the 22 of Oct. I can't wait I am so happy to be able to finally be able to control my weight problem. I have a very supportive family. My husband and Daughter will be with me. They both took off work. And my son is in the Marines so he can't be there,but he said he will be there in thoughts. Good luck to you and may God Bless you. I am praying for you. Becky
