A freshly rested surgeon is never a bad thing. You will be tired, but don't worry. You will get lots of sleep later in the day. I am 7 days out. I know what you are in for. Don't be scared. It's gonna hurt at first, but keep up with your pain meds for 4-5 days (everyone is different) and remember to get up and moving. Each time gets a little easier (though not as much as you would hope). At 7 days I still can't sleep in my bed for more than a couple hours with pillows and towels tucked here and there, but I am up and doing small things around the house (no lifting), and feeling better than I expected. Not doing cartwheels, but feeling productive between the rests. Big hugs, best wishes, and prayers. Jill

Fantastic, Jennifer! I was first (at 7:30) on Friday (5 days ago) and was home before noon! You go, girlfriend, and remember , stay as active as you can. It makes all the difference in soreness, pain, etc. Waiting to hear from you from the other side! Mary 5'2" 255/239/145 Dr. Benavides 10/8/2004
