Trying to keep stiff upper lip!
Well my Dr's office caled today and told me I would have to postpone my surgery till the 21st instead of the 18th. I know it's just a few days but I couln't help but shed a few tears. I have become soo emotional! I just thought I had kids schedule figured out, and Hubby got time off to juggle kids while I'm in the hospital now everything has to change. Oh well It just teaches me I have to be on my toes all the time.
To anyone *****ads this thanks for letting me babble!
Elaine
Elaine,
Just think, now your surgery will be on a Thursday and Hubby and kiddos will require a little less juggling(if he is one of the lucky that does not have to work weekends, that is). Honey, this is an emotional roller coaster ride, and to have a change in plans is upsetting, it's ok to cry about it! I am having my surgery on the 22nd, my doctor gave me a choice of the 19th or the 22nd and I picked the 22nd so I would have to take less time off work. (sick,I know, but I LOVE my job & hate to miss a day!) Any time you need to babble, babble away!
Good luck! Dianne
Hi Elane,
I know how you feel. It is only a few days, or in my case a week, but it does make a difference. It really is rough when you think you have everything worked out to the day. I may have a rough time, I first scheduled my surgery to be when my friend was on vacation but when it was changed my friend couldn't change his vacation. So, There may be days when I am completely alone for the first week, that sucks! So, even though it is bad for you, just remember it could be worse! You could still be waiting for a date! Keep your chin up!
Have a great day and Congratulations on your surgery!
