It is quite normal i myself am on here alot constantly reading and what not I am going to see my doctor about prescribing somehting to calm my nerves soo i can get some rest so i dont get sick before the surgery. I am also trying to quit smoking lol. Its not really what i would call scared though i think its more anxious to have it done and the unknown really. I think it help to remeber what your reasons are for having this surgery done...we all have our reasons and they are no doubt many reasons. I try to keep positive in how this will change my life for the better. I guess you really have to come to a point that its like what will be will be and there is only one being that knows all and you just gotta trust that things will be fine and that its a surgery that will better your health and be glad that its not worse. There are some people that are terrimally ill or are on waiting list for organ donations that may never have a chance at a good life and if by some miracle that they do get that chance it will be a journey much longer tougher and scarrier than ours and with way GREATER risk. Its 2% mortality thats what 98% you will pull through....The last time you had 98% on a test didnt you feel top of the world. 98% to me is WHOO HOOO whos your daddy whos got it going on uh huh uh huh you go girlfriend :P~ If someone said you got a 98% chance of passing this test would you worry the night before that you would fail???? I think not....just try and keep it in perspective hope that helps deb nova scotia canada

First of all Brandy, Take a deep breath. Now think of a beautiful sunset on the beach, and your kids playing in the sand, Now think about how you are able to move freely and play with them, running into the water and making sandcastles. This is the life, being able to play withyour children, enjoy your husband and feel better about yourself. That all can happen because you are brave enough to do something about your weight. You are making a decision to lengthen not only your life, but the quality of it. Try and relax, take a walk, read a book, snuggle withyour hubby. You can do this! I'll be praying that God will give you rest, peace and strength in the weeks ahead. Blessings~ Robin R
