I seen my surgeon the other day & he told me that 3 - 4 hour for Lap precedure with 2 weeks off work & anothe 2 weeks recovering energy wise while working. I have a read a few post on Lap being done in under 1 hour. What was your experiences with it?

My Doc said 90 minutes. Thats what I'm expecting.I am taking 2 weeks off work, but hopefully it won't take THAT long to recover. I do want to be realistic though, so just in case... Robin R

Hi, My surgeon also said 1 1/2 hours for surgery. Recovery time is 2 weeks, but you can go back to work after 1 week if you have a desk job and can take it easy. 3 weeks before you can lift anything over 25lbs.

I had surgery on Monday and it took a little over 2 hours. I was told approx 2 to 3 weeks before going back to work. I feel okay just a little sore. Especially if I sit same position for long period of time. I go back next week for first post op and I am going to see if I can go back soon. Can't stand this staying at home. Deb
