I have surgery scheduled on Oct 5th, only 5 days away! I am wondering if anyone else is having problems with nerves. I am excited for this surgery, but nervous. I have had surgery before, but the fact that now I have kids, it's affecting me more. Just wondering how others are dealing with it. thanks! Denise

DEAREST DENISE, I'M ALSO GETTING A CASE OF NERVES. I'M VERY CONFIDENT WITH MY DOCTOR AND HAVE ALSO HAD SURGERY BEFORE. MAYBE IT'S JUST THE "CHANCE" THAT SOMETHING CAN GO WRONG.OR, MAYBE JUST THE WHOLE "HOSPITAL" THING. I'M NOT SURE. MY CHILDREN ARE PRETTY MUCH GROWN,(26, 22,AND 16) SO THAT'S NOT THE ISSUE.(ALTHOUGH, NOT BEING THERE FOR MY CHILDREN AT ANY AGE IS DEVESTATING) I THINK WE WOULDN'T BE HUMAN IF WE DIDN'T FEEL A LITTLE NERVOUS. BUT, I'M SURE WE'LL BE FINE. IT WILL ALL BE OVER BEFORE WE KNOW IT. GOOD LUCK AND BEST WISHES TO YOU, CARMELLA

I know how you feel I have three wonderful kids and I am an emotional basket case. I am happy one minute and depressed the other and anxious and sometimes everything at once. I try not to think about it and I do deep breathing exercises and it subsides somewhat. Good Luck to you and it will be here and gone before you know it and you will be living your new exciting healthy life!
