UGH!! Surgery pushed back a week!

I just got the call today that my surgery has been rescheduled!! I was supposed to have it 10/12/04 and now it is set for 10/19/04. I am a bit frustrated about it but I can wait another week. It is just my husband had already scheduled the time off. My sister also had to schedule time off from her work (she lives in CA) so that she could be here and take my mom to the hospital for my surgery and to stay with our 7 yr. old daughter (we live 3 hours from the hospital). I do not think she will be able to change her schedule so she may not be able to come. This really messes up everything. UGH!!! Just had to vent!

So sorry to hear that, but i know how you feel they did almost the same thing to me in the past 5 days I have had 3 dates! Keep your head up and smile!

Hey Rachella, That is such a pretty name. Just wanted you to know that I am sorry to hear that your surgery was pushed back. Remember, everything happens for a reason. Just hang in there and keep us updated.

Thanks guys! I am trying to look at it like that - everything happens for a reason. My sister is upset because she does not know if she will be able to change her vacation for the new surgery date. She really wants to be here - I guess we will see. Thanks for the compliment on my name. I was named after my aunt and to my knowledge - we are the only 2 with that particular spelling. Hi! I know just how you feel, the same exact thing happened to me! I was originally a colombus day girl, but now I am on the 19th. I am welcoming the extra week because I got sick and if it wasn't pushed back a chance of cancellation may have happened! Good luck and remember all things happen for a reason! It sucks about your hubby's time off, I live alone and my friends vacation was scheduled for the first date and he can't change it! O'well, I will deal with it! Good luck again! -Amber

Thanks for the great posts everyone! I am getting nervous. I have tons of appointments (pre-op, psych eval, educational class, etc) on 10/06 - I hope everything goes well. It is hard to believe that it is all really happening. My daughter (7 yrs old) is having a hard time with my having surgery. She mentions it daily and says that she doesn't want me to have it that she loves me just the way I am!! Poor thing. We will end up having to have her with us in the hotel after the surgery - it is just too upsetting for her to not be with us. There I go - rambling on............ Take care everyone.
