help i need to relax

hey there my surgery date is oct 20 and just got done with most of my pre-op tests yesterday. does anyone have any advice on how to relax i think the closer it gets the more i freak out just going to my pre-ops i had tons anxiety

hehe im the 19th here and ifn you find a way to relax thats not illegal let me know good luck with that I think its really part of the process though

My surgery is the 12th. Relax? I think we just have to deal with some nerves. I am a little on the nervous side. NO I am a lot on the nervous side. Never had surgery before so I am starting with a big surgery. Probably the most important thing I have done for me. Lets all just go outside and SCREAM. Now.............I feel better. Carol

My surgery is the 19th! But I had to wait 16 MONTHS and had to fight VERY hard for approval, so I am just so relieved and thankful to be able to have it that the nerves seem less an issue. Knowing that we have the best surgeon that I could find, is a tremendous comfort. I truly don't think that there is anyone out there who could do it better --that helps.

I'm not so nervous about the surgery (well, some) but about doing everything right after. There's so much to remember. Mine is Oct 5, so last night I made my chicken broth, and packed the chicken shreds in condiment containers. I've bought my baby spoon. It was hard to find any that weren't plastic coated. I've packed and unpacked my hospital stuff so many times I know I'll forget something. And then, of course, is the thought do I really, really want to do this to myself?
