surgery scheduled

hi my name is tamika middlebrooks and i just found out recently that i was approved for the surgery. i am schedule for 10/27/2004 my pre-op is 10/21/2004. i am so excited but sooo scared. if anyone can give me some advise or encouragement that will really help thanks..

Hi Tamika! I'm Debbie! Congratulations on your surgery date! My surgery is scheduled for 10/22/04, and I am so scared too. Reading the message boards is what keeps me sane!

Hi, Mine is Oct. 5 and I bounce between excited and scared too. Then I think do I really want to do this to myself? Then I remember how I feel now and I have to come to the conclusion that in the end it will be worth it. Not that it makes it any less scarey. I think we're just concerned and normal. Ya think? Joanne

When I asked my counseler if its normal to be this nervous, she said it is normal and if I wasn't she would be concerned!
