October 4th here

Hello to all, I have had my pre op last week along with my blood work and now just waiting for the weekend to due my 2 days of clear liquids. I am having aniexty to get the surgery over with and to begin anew. I am restless when I sleep and know that I will be ok. I have had 3 other surgeries before and don't have a concern about the procedure. Just the time away from home. I will back my bag soon for the hospital. Will I need anything extra for the trip. CONGRATS!! Your almost there. WE have the same SURGERY DATE!! OCT 4 our REBIRTH!!! I haven't had my pre-op testing yet, that is on Friday. I will know what extra I need Friday I guess. Thanks for posting those questions, I wanted to know as well.

Hello Girls, my surgery date is also Oct. 4, i finished up my preops last Tuesday and found out i have an infection somewhere that they cannot find, i do not feel sick, so this is very strange to me, anyway they put me on antibiotics until surgery day so i should be good to go. I dont know about you all but the day cant get here soon enough, I just wi**** was all over with. I havent packed my bag yet but they told me i wouldnt need very much, they will provide all of the toiletries. but i think i would rather have my own. Good luck to all of you and God Bless. chas

Hi Cynthia, Well you're certainly not alone here! I also share that date with you,wishing us all a safe surgery and speedy recovery! JOy!

Wow, this is the first time I've seen so many of us with the same date and all from different states (Yes, I have that much time on my hands right now and can not get away from the computer!!). Anyways, best of luck to ALL of you, it'll be great to post here when we are all through it. Hey let's try and make a date, everyone post on Oct. 11th to let us know how everyone did!!! Michele

I too am having surgery on the 4th. I am very nervous and my doctor requires 2 weeks of liquids and protein drinks. He doesn't care if clear just liquids. I have to go on Friday for pre op stuff at the hospital (which is about 2 hours away) then drive back on Monday. I am having anxiety attacks and wondering what am I doing??? But then I think since the liquid thing my diabetes is coming under control and I may be off the insulin before I leave the hospital Best of luck to all of us for our special day

Hi everyone, boy today was a great day. I too will be having surgery on Oct. 4th. A rebirth before my birthday!!!! (Oct.5th). I had a call from the caseworker in my surgeons office and she told me they had an opening on Mon. would I be interested. BE INTERESTED ARE YOU KIDDING. I was excited and anxious all at the same time. I go for preop on Fri. in San Diego then stay down there on Sun. Everyone I have told has been so supportive and loving. Thank God. I need to do everything in the next 4 days I hope I can do it. Good Luck and God bless all of you on Monday October 4th. TTFN Mary
