Got my date! October 13th

Hi everyone, wasn't aware of this board, I've been away for quite some time waiting for my 6 months of dr. supervised dieting to get over with so I can join everyone on the losing side. Looks like that time is finally here. I'm really excited and can hardly believe it's happening, I've been trying to get this done for 3 years now.... almost exactly 3 years. I'll be having an open RNY at Bi-County Hospital in Warren MI, my doctor is Dr. Carl Pesta and he's one of the doc's for the LivLite Program. I'm sure I'm gonna get the jitters as the surgery date gets closer, I've never had anything more than laparoscopic surgeries...one for having my tubes tied, the other was for my knee. So the thought of major surgery is kinda scary, but the benefits outweigh the risks and I come from pretty hardy stock.... I'm sure I'll do just fine. I look forward to reading about everyone's experiences and posting my own. TTFN....Sharon B.

Hello, I am scheduled for October 13th also. I had surgery for the filter August 31st. All of my pre-op work has been done. I had to postpone my September 21st date and hopefully will not have to repeat any of the lapwork/tests before October 13th.
