Now that the month of Oct...

I was soooo glad to hear back from so many of you...and I also noticed that taking a day in between posts, about 900 more people get October surgery dates Not sure how I will keep up with surgery support pages at this rate. After reading some of your posts and pondering my own emotions over this, I am more exicted than anything else now. Being sick right now and trying to clear it up so my surgery isn't delayed is my biggest hurdle. I am so ready to start my Pre-Op Liquid diet and get this ball rolling. I'm really not afraid now, and while I think I will be just fine, I will start my letter to my son just in case the good Lord decides to take me (although I've been praying hard that he won't). I have no regrets and I'm really ready to go now. Another quick question....anyone ever thought of buying that hot "goal" outfit...like a sexy outfit or neglige in a nice goal size? I know a lot of people that purchase a motivator outfit. I keep looking for one and can't seem to bring myself to actually BUY something :shurg: Danielle

Danielle, I am also nervous, but extremely excited. I am new to these message boards. I had my surgical consult on Sept 16 and I basically got to pick any day after Sept 22 to have my surgery. So with 3 young children and an extremely busy husband, we chose October 8th for my surgery date. I agree with having so many things running through my head that I want to have done before hand. I sometimes don't sleep at night because I am going over the list in my head. Talk about crazy!!! I just need to make a list, that way once the item is done, I can see that I am that much closer to being "ready". I feel that I have been ready for this since April when I started this whole process. It just keeps getting more exciting day by day. Talk to you later, Shana

I know how you are feeling, just went thru my pre-op, my surgery is scheduled on 10/04/04. I feel nervous at times, but then get very excited that the time is almost here. On my pre-op day I ran into one of the people that I was with on the orignal appt. with my surgeon when I was finding out information. She had surgery on 8/17/04 and looks great down 50 pounds and that really helped me a lot to really see that the effort and stress (LOL) is well worth the out come. So hang in there from all the people that I have spoken to, they went thru all that we are feeling now. Good luck, Shirley

Yeah! We share the same date. I am going for my pre op on Wednesday 9-29...and I am very excited/nervous. I wish today was next weekend already I think all this waiting is making me nuts! Anyway, Good luck to us all!

I'm also Oct.4. I had terrible mood swings last month. I've calmed down and ready now. My pre-admittance is scheduled for Monday. Its like a sigh of relief to finally be here. Only one week to go!
