Surgery date 10/18
Before I could be scheduled my doctor had me see a cardiologist and have a bunch of test Then a pulmonalogist to check my lung capacity, I had xrays, blood work, meeting with a pychiatrist, nutritionist, and my primary doctor. With him you usually have a sleep study but I'm already on a c-pap. My pre op is next monday and I'm told it will be more blood work, surgery instructions and registration so Oct. 4 I will go to surgery I won't have all the paper work to do. Which is good since I have to be there by 6am that day.
Hi Jade, I just found out my surgery is also 10/18/04. I had lots of tests before I got to the point where I was finally able to schedule. I had my first consultation, then a psych eval, blood tests, X-Rays, ultrasound, echocardiagram, endoscopy, 2 sleep studies, have been using the CPAP machine, had to give a stool sample. My surgeon is very, very thorough. I started this process in 5/04. But I am finally good to go. My time is 8:00 am, how about you?
