I have a surgery date!! 10/1/04

The Bariatric Clinic called me at work today with a surgery date! 10/01/04 at 7:30 am. I was wondering if anyone else has the same surgery date? My pre-op testing is friday 9/24/04...can anyone tell me what that consists of? I am sooooo excited, but a little scared too. Darlene

How Wonderful! I too am going in on the first of the month. What a great way to start off the month of October isn't it?? I have been trying so hard to get this done. I have waited 5 years. I have gone through many different insurance companies and none would cover this operation. Finally my husband added me to his at work and I got approved. I won't lie I did have to jump through some hoops to get here, but hey... I MADE IT! I live in Florida and Dr. Liem is my surgeon. I weigh right now 332LBs. I am looking forward to walking into Walmart and grabbing something off the rack and having it fit! LOL The thought of shopping for new clothes along with my strong faith in God is what has kept me going this far. My date is Oct 1st too.

My day is also the 1st!!!! Exciting isn't it? PreOp testing for me was just bloodwork, EKG, regular physical stuff. PRior to that I had done the chest x-ray, endoscopy, stress test, etc. which if you haven't done any of these you may have to do. I wish you luck and a speedy recovery. Talk to you soon after, Elisa
