Hi guys. This question might sound silly, but I am scheduled for surgery Oct 6. The same day my cycle is due to start. Can they give me something to delay my cycle? I have never taken birth control. Would that work?I thought I would run it by you guys before I ask my doctor. Thanks! Shelia

I haven't a clue on that one!!! I know a lot of people say right after surgery their periods start, even if it wasn't on their cycle. So I dunno, it may not be a problem for you surgeon!! Good luck, Renee*

better ask your doctor....of course they don't care if you are having your period or not! may not want to add any more medications, as not "medically necessary"

Hey Sheila, I had been wondering that same thing, since I will be having that same problem. So I decided to search through the Q&A boards until I found all kinds of info. Try there and I'm sure you will find what you need.

Debbie, Thanks. That is exactly what I did after posting my question to the board. Oh well, better late than never. I guess they are used to working with it. I just would rather not have to deal with it right after surgery if I had a choice about it. I go for my Pre Adm. Testing today. Maybe I will mention it to them. Thanks for replying and good luck on your surgery.
