Oct. 12th surgery date - Anyone else w/the same date?

Hello everyone! I have a surgery date of Oct. 12th and was wondering if anyone else had the same date? I just found out last week that everything is approved and got a date. It has all happened rather quickly for me since it was only a little over a month ago that it was even sent in for approval and I already have a surgery date! I have already had the gallbladder ultrasound and abdominal CT done. I will have to have a personal Education class since the next one is the same day as my surgery, so that is scheduled for the day before surgery. I go on 10/06 for blood work, pre-op and hopefully the evaluation. I am 3 hours away so I would like to get everything done on the same day. I am excited and nervous all at the same time. I am trying to lose some weight beforehand as recommended. I have found that the Atkins shake is very tasty - considering. Does anyone else have anything that they would recommend? I am October 12Th also..I am so excited and nervous...all at the same time..I go for my pre-op on September 30th. I am also going for my last educational class that day. I am praying that I dont chicken out. I have a history of panic attacks, so I hope that I make it through without asking to leave.Well good luck to you and keep in touch. I will be praying for you

I am scheduled for surgery on October 12th as well. I am in NJ. The surgery is taking place in Morristown Memorial Hospital. I am nervous & excited like all of you. Best of Luck to you..

Hi Rachella! I also have the same surgery date of 10/12/04. I'm in Springfield, MO and I'm feeling the same excited and nervous all at the same time. I will be traveling to St. Louis for my surgery and pre-op stuff, which is about 3-4 hours from my home. So I know just what you mean by trying to get things all done on the same day as much as possible. I have a close friend who had this surgery on 3/9 and she has been a real treasure for me, she has volunteered to go up on my pre-op stuff so I wont have to be alone (she is awesome ). October 12th!!!! - my WLS date also. I can hardly believe it. Live in Wa state, and going back to my home state ND to a surgeon there who has been performing these surgeries for nearly 30 years. Lots of 10/12'ers!!!

Yes I have the October 12th surgery date at Ocala Regional Hospital in Ocala Florida! I am excited, nervous, anxious, happy and know that this is the right thing to do! With my BMI at 52, it is my last chance. 20 days and counting! I wish everyone good luck and God speed! Let's all keep in touch and follow our progress! Hi Rachella...I'm from Knightdale, NC and I have the same surgery date as you, Oct. 12. I, too, found out last week . I am soooo excited, but I haven't gotten nervous yet. However, I'm sure it will come soon enough. Good luck to you and I will pray for your speedy recovery.
