Rita,
Congratulations. Thanks for sharing with us. You are an inspiration. Keep up the good work. I agree with Hubby, throw the old stuff out as a sign of never going back there. I know it will be hard, but it might be a real sign of something new.
Congratulations again. You are incredible.
Sue from Sydney, Australia
Big Congratulations to you Rita! I haven't been there since the phen-fen days. I am about 28 pounds away right now. That number is SUCH a mental thing. Just to weigh in at the doctor's office and not have them slide that bar over to the 200+ is such a thrill.
I agree you could probably get rid of the clothes but I know that head trip too. It's so hard to believe that we can succeed long term. I took the plunge and went through my closets. With only a 28 pound loss so far, I already found 90 garments that didn't fit. I posted to the OH California Board about the clothes and within a few minutes I had several requests. I boxed all the clothes up and shipped them to Jennifer, who is going through the hoops to get Medi-Cal approval for surgery. She promises to pass on anything she can't use. It felt right.
Enjoy your trip in Onederland. I'll see ya there soon!
Mary
Congratulations Rita! Ditch the clothes. You know the verse. lay not up for yourselves treasure on earth where moth and rust doth consume ... it is so true. First, you will never need them again and second within a few years they will be no good anyway. The elastic gets all crackly, the mice get into them, etc. Why have to go through them again. they are history as is the 200 era! Barbara
Go Rita, Go Rita!! I can't wait to join all of you who are now in One-derland. As for the clothes, I agree with all the other ladies--get rid of them!! You certainly don't need them hanging (literally, if they're in the attic) over your head. SOMEONE can use them, 'cause Lord knows YOU never will need them again!

Thanks to all of you for your support and advice. I will get rid of the clothes but I still feel a little uneasy about it.
I've lost and regained so many times in the past.
Anyway by getting rid of the clothes it will help others and give me an incentive not to regain.
There is a goodwill in the area, so 'll just run them over there later today when I finish cooking for the week.
Thanks again
Rita
