Too Ashamed to go

Hi Guys, On May 15th is a mother daughter tea at my mom's church. I have outgrown all my clothes and have one nightgown, 2 T-shirts, and one pair of black pants. My mom wants me to go with her to a M/D tea .... but I do not have the funds to buy a blouse. Plus, I am too big for Layne Bryants largest size blouse (28). My mom is 80, and I feel like for her I should be willing to show up in a hefty bag to not disappoint her, but she is a *very* well dressed woman and I know going in one of my T-shirts would embarass her to pieces Any ideas? Hi Wendy, this is just a thought,but maybe you should check out some of your local thrift shops,we have some really nice ones that carry plus sizes and have very nice clothes that are affordable,I have also seen several ads in the newspaper for yard sales for plus size,Anyway it is just an idea,I know how you feel about only having a few clothes to wear and not wanting to go out and buy any right now. Dearest Wendy, tell your mom you don't have clothes to wear and want so much to go with her and I bet she will help you get clothes you need . Just one outfit to share this precious time with your mom. Please tell her, don't let this chance pass. I just lost my 81yr old daddy on Feb. 9th,2004 and thank God everyday for the things we did together and there are some things I didn't do and wish I had never missed those few chances. Please, Please don't put yourself in that place. Do whatever it takes to spend this precious time with you mom. You will be happy you did and not have the regret down the road.
