Hi Carolyn I haven't had mine, yet, but I know several people who have. It's another major surgery. For my friends, the surgery took from 2 to 5 hours. After our bypass surgery, the doctors used staples, but with the Tummy Tuck they sew it up nice and tight, therefore, it takes longer. Each one of my friends had 3 to 4 drainage tubes, that they went home with. They also had to wear a brace for several weeks. The one's that took 5 hours, also had hernias that needed to be repaired. They all stayed in the hospital for 3 days. At least 2 nights. I can't wait for mine! My surgeon thinks by January, I should be ready. I've joined Contours for Women, to make sure that I've lost every pound that I need to. I have never had a flat tummy, so I'm really excited about this! Good luck on Thursday! Okay, so do you have pets? If so, how many, what type and do they look like you or resemble what you might do for a job? I have a Dalmatian - and well - both my DH and I are in the Fire Department along with two of our sons! Hazel our Dalmatian looks nothing like us, but has our personality - "princess" type!

Angel, I feel exactly the same way - depressed if I gain a pound, worried that I'll undo all the good things I've done in the past year. I lost 5 more pounds, but it seems to be a stable weight for me. I don't think the plastic surgery will take that much more off for me. I decided to just make sure I stay at my current weight (within 3 - 5 pounds) and not worry about the dietician's weight for me. I think the key is to eat smart (we've done that for a year, right?), exercise (that might actually put a few pounds on you over time, muscle weighs more than fat!) and weigh ONCE A WEEK. If you've lost, add a handful of peanuts to your diet every day - that seems to be working for me. My husband promised to take pictures for me, I'll try to get an after posted soon. Patty

Ohhh you're right I have lost weight - it looks as if you may have found it. Crass yes I know, but it'll shut them up (of course only use this if it's true!) I'm not wasting away, I'm gaining my life back. My body will quit when it's ready, and not until then. I'm just happy to be healthy and active again.
