I had Lap-RNy done on 10-13-03. I started out at 233 and i weigh 141 today. A loss of 92# so far. I have been on a plateau for about 6 weeks now and am ready to get on with it! I need to be below 133 for the "normal" range. At 5'1" i feel great and i can and do wear a size 8 petite and a medium top down from the WW26 that i started at... WOW...life is good. I started having issues with dry meat... chicken and pork just get hung up if i don't eat them with gravy or sauce. LIFE... I think i can deal with this little issue considering all. Judy

Hi Tanya... great question!
* I can go up my basement steps without feeling like I need oxygen.
* I can walk a lot faster and a lot longer.
* I can get up off the floor without help.
* I can also fit into those white plastic patio chairs (I sat in one last night and although I fit fine, I still sat down slowly just in case).
* I can see parts of me that I haven't seen in 15 years.
I also am living a more full life after losing 82 lbs. Although I wi**** were more and I have stayed the same for 3 months now, I still feel 100% better than I did last year at this time. I am so thankful for WLS...

Hey Tanya, I think that we started at about the same weight when we had our surgeries. I also have lost 155lbs. I was at 362lbs., now I weigh 207lbs. I have 7 pounds to go, to hit the 200lb. mark! I'm hoping to do this by October 1st. This is my anniversary date. Anyway, I can walk, run, play baseball, basketball, tie my shoes, sit in chairs at the ball parks and symphony(with room to scoot)! And the love life isn't too bad, either!!
My husband and family are very proud of me! Me too!
Lovin' my life, Jane

I'm checking in for Roll Call.. It's been a while since I've been here to post I've been busy. I had my surgery Oct 29th 2004. I started at 362 lbs. My highest was 369 prior to surgery. I've lost a total of 120 since the date of my surgery. I still have a long way to go but I am feeling 100 percent better than I did 11 months ago. The weight loss has slowed down and I need to get back on track with Water and Protien. I'm still exercising and Walking 2 miles a day. I would have like to have been under 200 lbs by my 1 yr anniversary, but it does not look like I will make it. I'm not sweating it. As long as my clothes keep getting looser and the scale moves down once a week. I'm ok.
Congratulations to everyone's success!

I had my lap rny on 10-28-03. I started at 295 and, as of this morning, I'm down to 198! That's a total loss of 97#. I'm a slow loser, but I'm still losing. I'm exercising lots and losing about 7 pounds a month. I hope it doesn't stop!
I just got back from a 2 week trip to Europe. We went to 8 different countries. If you've been, you know Europe has steps to climb - everywhere! Well, I've been twice before, but it was much nicer this time without all the extra weight. It really makes a difference.
Congrats to you all.

Hi all,
As I was walking into the gym this morning carring my gym bag which probably wieghs 30 pounds and my youngest daughter who weight 28 pounds I realized that I was carring over three times as much weight on my body 155 pounds ago. I was amazed at the struggle it was taking me to carry both of these items and thought about what my body had gone thru on a daily basis to carry my additional 154 pounds.
So my question of the day is....what do you find easier to do now that you have lost so much weight?
I can shave my legs without passing out!
I can bend over and tie my shoes!
I can fit in white plastic patio chair with room to spare!!
I can fit on my own seat cusion on airplanes and do not need a seat belt extention!
I can run!
I can play with my kids!
Basically I can live a pretty normal life!!!!!!
I can not even imagine what life will be like whan I loose my last 50 pounds!!!!
Love to all ,
Tanya
-154 1 more pound and I will breat the 200 mark!!!!!!!
