Since I have lots of problems digesting meat post-op I am now a vegetarian. Here in POrtland we have a great vegan restaurant called Calendulas that my ex (who is vegan) and I would go to. Even though I still eat dairy and eggs an loved their vegan and raw foods. Very healthy! Totally yummy!

I LOVE Chinese, so my favorite restaurant is Soon Lee's. Their egg rolls, Hong Kong Steak, and this yummy Seafood Platter are to die for!!!
Now you've made me hungry! I'm going to have to go there, soon! Jane

This sounds wonderful. For more protein, I bet it would be good to add some taco meat???? I might try adding some hamburger with taco seasonings added to it. I will let you know how it turns out; I need to take something to a picnic on Sat. so, I will make this and try it out on my friends!

OMG AMY!!! That is hysterical! LOL I know you were embarrassed... but what fun! I love being in the ocean and the first time we seen it, (in Myrtle Beach, SC) we all went and changed into our swimsuits and jumped right in... well, the waves were HORRIBLE and they knocked us down more than once. My daughter (10 years old) got pushed down but she reached out to grab something to help steady herself and guess what she grabbed... MY SUIT RIGHT BETWEEN MY BOOBS ... and yep... she displayed me for all the world to see! LOL I dunked down so fast into the water I'm not sure who all seen it but boy do I know how you feel.. LOL Thanks for giving me the laugh for the day! Pam

Hi Rikka... yes, my hubby did and does the same thing. He's getting better though. I think when they get like that, we just need to give them a little more lovin' & attention. It's their cry for reassurance but they can't come out and ask for it. Be sure to tell him what you just told us and that he has stuck with you through all your "heavy" years and there's no way you're going to leave him now unless he doesn't quit! LOL Just kidding about that part. But... do give him extra lovin' & cuddling when he gets like that... it's what he's wanting. If that doesn't work, maybe go see a counselor together so you can work it out together. Pam

Hi Rikka!
I'm married, but I haven't had any problems with my husband feeling insecure. But, I do know a lot of people who are having the same problem you are. The only thing that I can suggest is that you sit him down, when you are both in a non-combative mood, then talk to him about the concern you have about his behavior towards you. Ask him why he feels the way he does? Reassure him that you didn't have the surgery to leave him, but you deserve to feel healthy and beautiful. Help him to realize that life for the both of you is going to be better, because you are able to do so much more. Maybe you both can join a healthclub or anything, together. He'll come around, it's an adjustment for everyone. Be sure you tell him how you feel about the way he is treating you! Good luck! Your WL Buddy, Jane

Pamela, besides moving to this wonderful state of Colorado.....I would have to save roller blading. I actually started in April but got better by June. I love it, it is great exercise.
