Topic: RE: protein
Hi Donna,
I love Isopure protein drinks. They are in a glass 20 oz. bottle not the powder. It is whey protein isolate. Total 40g of protein. I usually drink 10 oz. at a time. Not sure how fast it absorbs but I've been drinking them since surgery & have been doing great.

Hi Jane,
My problem is eggs! They smell soooo good but when they hit the ol' pouch I regret it. It's been that way since the beginning but I still keep trying them now & then.

Anyone have a list of the best fast absorbing brands of protein & do you have a favorite coffee flavored powder? I still use drinks as a snack when I miss lunch. Thanks Donna

WEll... as of this minute... I can eat just about anything. It depends on how it's cooked though... microwave is a H-U-G-E no no for me. I throw up everything that I microwave (even to warm it up) except liquid. Grilled chicken is still too dry for me. I love my crockpot... it always cooks the meat down so that it is really easy to digest.
I do stay away from bread/pasta & potatoes though. I know if I get started on them, I won't quit and that's how I ended up where I did. Good q, Jane! Love, Pam

Hey my Weight-loss Buddies
What food is just to difficult for you to eat?
Just recently, I haven't been able to drink milk or eat chicken. I was able to tolerate both of these, right from the get-go! Go figure, huh!

The Bugler, Naples, Italy sitting in a marina. Talk about great italian food!
But normally, Cantinelli's, a local resturant which servessouthern Italian style foods. They make their own breads, pastas, sauces, and desserts. Carb heaven.

I have to go into my archives for an answer to this. Geez its dusty in here.
I've been married for 32 years and the first year of marriage I suffered from the same insecurity. Basically, I couldn't believe that such a beautiful intelligent woman had actually married me and knew that she would find someone more handsome/better for her someday. So, with this insecurity firmly in hand, I worried her to death.
Time passed and I came to realize that she found me worthy and would remain my life partner. With that knowledge the fear of losing her went away.
Give him time and reassurance. You're a beautiful woman and his greatest fear is losing you. The change you have gone through seems to him to mean that you'll change/replace everything, including him. It's obvious to me that he knows how lucky he is to have you in his life. He just needs the time to move past this and learn that you will always be there, just like always.
Fat or thin, rich or poor, sickness and health. It's all about commitment to the other person. And as my wife always says, "You should be committed." Ha!
Hugs,
Joe

Camping! We haven't been able to go for years due to my sleep apnea. We went tent camping numerous time this year and are in the market for a popup camper or travel trailer for next year.

Can I join this pitty party too? I have been losing and gaining the same 2 lbs for a month now. I have lost about 112, but wanted to have gotten down into the "100's" by my one year anniversary in 3 weeks. I pretty much know what I am doing wrong. Too much snacking and not enough excersize- the same things that got me to over 300 lbs in the first place!
I think I am going to try the suggestion of having only protein shakes one day a week. I know my tool will still work for me if I let it!
