Topic: RE: How are You Celebrating?
The 28th is also my 1 year anniversary. I think that I will spend the day in "reflection" I am amazed with where I was a year ago and where I am today. Life felt hopeless one year ago... today I am grateful for the blessings and opportunities that I have as a woman in this wonderful country. Congratulations to us ALL!
Best Regards,

The 28th is my one year anniversary too. Happy Anniversary to both of us!!!
I'm not sure how I will be celebrating. I think that I'll start out by thanking God for a wonderful, exciting, informative, eye-opening, soul-searching, whirlwind of a year. I can't believe that it's a year already. I have to be honest, I have been celebrating all year long In less than a month I will turn 40 so when I hit the 100 lb mark and with that milestone birthday looming, I did what any other person would do, I bought myself a new car!!!
So, I think that my 'celebrating' may have to be curtailed for a little while
However you mark the occasion, I think that it is so important to not forget where you came from. I think that when we forget, we're bound to wind up there again.
I wish you continued success and much good luck with your journey.
God Bless,
Bob

Topic: QOTD: How fast can you eat a ....?
Just curious about how quickly you, my peers, can eat certain foods one year out.
1. A homemade chicken or tuna salad sandwich between two slices of bread. It takes me about 15 minutes. Its those last couple of bites
2. A chicken breast - 20 minutes.
3. 6 oz steak - 30 minutes If I add a half a baked potato then it adds 15-20 minutes to the whole process.
I appreciate any input, even if I didn't list the food. Those of you who can "wolf" down a restaurant or fast food sandwich in 15 minutes I am just in awe of. I can't eat all that food at one time. I eat about half while it is hot and 30 minutes later pick it up and eat another fourth, and 15 minutes later finish the thing. So, an hour for me.

Congratulations!! Make sure you do celebrate your big day!
I went to a nearby resort with my fiance for a night. We had dinner & relaxed in the hot tubs, and stayed at the hotel for the night. For my century club celebration I treated myself to a one hour massage. I highly reccommend either on of these!

Topic: RE: Walking Goals
This sounds like fun and I might do it some day. I walk with my husband 3-4 times a week. We go 3.5 miles each time. But, I am so busy and math isn't my favorite. So, I will pass for now. Maybe I'll talk to my husband on our next walk and tell him to start keeping track. He's the math wiz.

Topic: My 1 year & link to pics
Hi all,
My 1 year was on Friday the 22nd. Amazing how much life has changed during this time! I find myself looking at pictures of myself pre-op and wondering how on earth I let myself get so big. That wasn't me... this is me, I'm finally free from the fat! (well, most of it anyway)
I'm still losing weight, but the scale goes in sputs of activity. I won't lose anything for 2-3 weeks then suddenly 5 pounds drop off. It's like that with inches too. For instance on Friday I was 203 and my size 14s fit fine, now on Tuesday i'm 201 and my size 14s are about falling off my hips!
I have some updated pictures and lots of before/after ones. The most recent pics were taken Saturday and are the ones of me wearing a white sweater. Take a look, and beware... some of the before pics are scary!

Because it's impossible to link photos to my profile from yahoo I'm waiting for the nice folks here at OH to post them for me.
Happy anniversary everyone!
Life is grand
