Topic: RE: Question of the day
Hi Jane... I am in Mich with you but I don't mind the cooler weather. I haven't been cold that much like most post-wls people are. I am cooler but not cold all the time. My husband doesn't like it either because he's hot blooded too and he hates it when I get cold because I burn him up... lol. We used to be hot together all the time.
I am looking so forward to the holidays this year. I do like the summer and I know I'll definitely be ready for it when it comes but I do enjoy the other seasons too. Have a good day! Love, Pam

Well... I actually had hardly any friends when I had my surgery. I had withdrawn from most of them but I did have one good friend who was happy as can be for me and still is. I am just bout her size now, maybe a little smaller and we share clothes which is fun. She has been one of my biggest supporters and I consider her my one true friend.
Since January when we joined a small group at our church, I have found a lot of friends who mean the world to me. We have grown close and I feel they care a lot about me and I care for them too. I have found that it's easier for me to make friends now that I'm 86 lbs lighter... I feel more confident. Although, I still don't get REAL close but that is because I had a good friend who went after my husband and that hurt me beyond belief. Thank God my husband told me what she was up to.
I'm sorry that your friend left you... I guess you just never know who your TRUE friends are until you go through some life changing time in your life. You've got friends here though... Love, Pam

Okay, so my question to you is this:
Since this surgery, how many friends do you truly have. I thought I had two best friends. I have discovered that the one I thought was most there for me, is not. I have lost her and am down to one.
What about you.

Adrianne, There are lots of us out there that are willing to share the good stuff but it takes courage and strength to share the difficult things in our lives. I want to personally thank you because I know that someone somewhere needed to see your post and will get help because you opened your heart and soal for us all to learn and benefit from. God has watched out for you and got you to a place where you can get help. I thank him for that because the last thing your children need is to loose their mom. God is good and will hold your hand while you take this journey to recovery. If you ever need an friend, and I truly mean that, please call upon me. Others have halped me in the past I would love to help you now.
Huggs and support,
Tanya

Adrienne, I am so proud of you for getting help and saving yourself. I am also sad because my sister who had weightloss surgery 2 years ago is drinking every day now. We can't even talk to her about it. You do this for your family and yourself. I'll be praying for you. Karen
