Topic: Happy Thanksgiving to all
We this year is a new adventure for all of us. We can sample Thanksgiving Dinner and be with our friends and families and not have to worry about gaining 10 pounds from one meal!!! I am excited to sample my tidbits of this and that and know I am going to be just fine and I will not waddle from the dinner table.
This year I have so very much to be thankful for that I could not even begin to list all of the things but I am grateful for everthing this sugery and God has granted me this year. That is what I will be thinking of as I sit down to dinner tonight.
Love to all on this special day,
Tanya

Topic: RE: What's Left On Your List?
Sandra,
I really enjoyed the Summit too, but girl you need a new pic! I really admire your drive. On my list of remaining goals...
- Find a physcial activity that I can't live without doing;
- Lose 20 more pounds; and,
- Wear a size 12 that doesn't stretch!

Topic: RE: Love shopping!!!
God, I love shopping too.
I went from a 32 to an 18 in pants, and large/xlarge in tops -- and not WOMENS' or PLUS sizes, either. I just LOVE walking into a fitting room and not feeling as if it is going to be a near-death experience!
It can get expensive, though, so when I just HAVE to get something new, I go to Wal-Mart or Kohl's first.
I try to stay the heck away from Talbot's and J. Jill!
Topic: RE: Recognition
While a few of us, the morbidly obese, have stellar, memorable personalities I believe that most of us fell into a different category. Don't stare at the fat person was what most of our co-workers were thinking to themselves. That made us quite forgetable.
Congratulations on the recognition at work! Here's to you!

Topic: Recognition
Well, Friday was the ball and it was so much fun. We dressed up to the theme Chinese New Year. I had an awesome dress that finally arrived after 5 weeks at 10:30 the day of the ball (I should have had it altered, it was a bit big).
But here's the thing. I was given 40 hour employee of the year award. My DH got employee of the year last year. It was awesome to be recognized. I about fell off my chair when they announced it. But this is what I've been hearing...we didn't recognize you when you went up - you've changed so much, you're incredible!
Okay, so I wasn't before? Hmmm.... I know it's just me being defensive a bit, but it was a nice recognition.
Topic: I need an angel
I am new to this group and really don't know what an angel does but it sure couldn't hurt.
I am just starting this process and am 99%sure that this is what I want{need}to rid me of all these medical problems I have. My children and husband need a wife and mother who can function and with this surgery I am hopeful that they will have one!
I was hoping some of you out there would share your story's and mabe give me a little support.
I have been chatting with a few of you already but the more the merrier I say!
I look forward to hearing from some of you.
Thanks Lori
Topic: RE: Plastic Surgery Inquiry
Jan,
Yup...check with your insurance co. Many will at least cover a tummy tuck (mine did) as long as you prove that you have lost more than 100 lbs. Good luck!

Topic: RE: Plastic Surgery Inquiry
Hi Jan,
I couldn't tell you if you were wrong or right. The only person who knows this is your insurance company. I would just call them & say your doctor is recommending that you have reconstructive surgery (specify what procedures) & you would like to know if your policy covers it. Then you'll know for sure! Good luck.
