I put together a small photo album with some of my most unflattering photos pre-op and my journey along the way. I have shared it with a few people and they are amazed. I stil struggle to see the smaller me. I think I have some pretty bad body image issues. I hope that after my plastic surgery overhaul I will be able to look in the morror with our without clothes and not be horrified. I have completely realistic ideas of what I will look like with plastic surgery scars and I look forward to the scars verses the horrible loose skin. Anyway, I plan to document the plastic surgery journey as well. Tanya -176 with 29 to go!!! (wonder how much all my loose skin weights??? )

i've got a bunch of photos from before and during my journey. I've put a small collection of them online. I keep a journal that i write in almost everyday. It includes WLS stuff along with other life stuffs. I recently went back and read about my life years before surgery and am shocked at how different things are now. Good times Amy

I was just looking through my photo journal, and realized that I'm thin and healthy for the first time in my life. I'm so glad that I started a photo journal of my weightloss journey. I like to compare last year's photos to this year's photos. The summer before my surgery, I went camping with my family. That was SO hard! We went again this year. What a difference! I could get up and down from the air mattress without pain. The photos are incredible! I was wondering if any of you had started a photo journal, too. Or a written journal? I also have a written journal. I'm really glad that I did. Your weightloss buddy, Jane

Hi Dyanna Wow! You've done awesome! 20lbs. is nothing. Your Tummy Tuck is going to take at least 10lbs. of that off. Maybe your body is right where it should be. If you feel great and look great, quit looking at the scale! Go have your tummy tuck and be happy!!! Happy Holidays! Your Weightloss Buddy, Jane

Hi Pam! I have only had eggnog one time, and that was before my surgery. It was pretty tasty. I'm afraid to try it now! I hear that it's too sweet & loaded with fat. People are dumping all over the place! I might try some of the light eggnog, maybe, or maybe not. What about you, Pam? Do you like eggnog? Have a Merry Christmas!!! This time of the year, I don't know if I'm coming or going, but I love it!!! Your Weightloss Friend, Jane

I love eggnog! I'm having some now! Only 4 oz compared to 16 oz of Christmas past. And I love fruitcake. Yep, I eat that too! A very small piece anyway.

Dyanna, Congratulations on your success! I had 6 plastic surgery consults before I decided on a doc. Only 1 of those doctors suggested that I lose the remaining weight before surgery. I also have hernias to be repaired with the tummy tuck. The one doc that suggested waiting said that my skin has shrunk all it's going to and that any weight loss from this point on will result in saggy skin. So, if I have the TT and then lose... the rest of the weight loss will cause loose skin and I wouldn't have "optimal" results from my TT. But, he was the only one that had that opinion. Most of my PS consults were free. You might want to just get a few opinions. Good Luck, Jackie -219 and counting

Hello Connie! You have come so far, and yet you want to be at the end of the road. I understand perfectly. The light is there, and it is much brighter these days...just keep walking toward it one step at a time. My surgery was 10/09/03 and I am 20 lbs from my goal..been at this plateau for 4 months. My problem stems from not exercising enough. Just to lazy to get out there and get it done. I now suffer from a torn rotator cuff and am looking at surgery for that. It will be a breeze compared to what I have already done! Good luck to you, and may God help you on your journey. Dyanna S
