Congratulations Jeffrey 90 lbs is awesome. I go for my 3 month checkup on Wednesday. I am anxious to see what my weight loss will be. I have have the same problems with food, I have to slow it way down or I am as a dog. My clothes size has gone from 24-26 to 16-18. Unbelievable!!! I wish you all the success in your journey. Keep up the great job.

Hello Don and Donna...I had the lap band surgery done on October 20th and I can honestly say that things are moving along just great for me. To date I have lost 37 lbs. It is a slow process and a HUGEEEEEEEEEE life change and like the two of you, I am working on it. So if I can help with anything or you just want somebody to talk to about the same things you are going through, we might beable to help each other out.
Here is my email address: [email protected]
Hope you hear from you soon,
Donna

This is my first time in here and it is so wonderful to read exciting news like yours...way to go. When I went for my surgery on October 20th I weighted in at a heafty 331 lbs. Last week I weighted in at 294. I was so excited that I was under the 300 lb mark. And it is nice to know that I am not the only one that is gaging down the water...I used to drink so much water and now I have to force myself because I am just not thursty. But way to go Tanya, you are a great inspiration to us all.

Kimberly,
I think the fact that you have lost 53 lbs is GREAT. I had my lap band done on October 20th and I have lost 37 lbs and happy as **** about it. You can always email me and I will be more then happy to talk to you and help anyway that I can. Don't get discouraged, you will go through a period where you will not lose anything but then you will start again. That happens even when you diet.
My email address is [email protected] I would love to hear from you. Hang in there...any lose is better then no loss!!!!
Topic: 1st fill
Hello there,
I had my "Lap Band" done on October 20th and I went for my first fill on December 1st. I am now at the stage where I am not losing anything but I am also not gaining. Also, I find that when I get up in the morning I feel real light headed. Anybody else going through this? If so, how are you dealing with it.
For all of you that had surgery on October 20th...woooooohoooooo we are on our way to thinness!!!!!

Hi Don
You can email me at [email protected]. Things for me went well. I actually only spent 2 days in the hospital. I had RNY Lap. I am finally able to eat most things at 2 1/2 months post op. I still have trouble with meat. Seafood is what I tolerate the best. I have lost 45 pounds post op and am hoping to to start exercising since the holidays are over.

Hi Donna-
I had a Lap RNY on 10/7/03. Please e-mail me and we can compare notes. I have not been able to attend a support group where my surgeon is ( it is 150 miles away) but our local hospital has recently started a group that I am attending monthly. It does help to have someone about where you are at in the process to talk with. Look forward to hearing from you.

Topic: 3 months post op
I am now three months post op (Oct 1, 2003 surgery date) and have lost 90 lbs. I am quite happy with the results, and only have minimal nausea when I do not chew my food well, or I eat too fast.
The weight seems to be falling off, and the most problematic thing for me is keeping up with new clothes.
Anyone who needs some encouragement, just call on me.

Thanks!
