I think a lot of us don't drink the protein drinks due to the taste. Well, I found a protein drink @ Bailey's Powerhouse Gym that is great !! It is called ProPlete Complete. The banana creme flavor id the best.
Topic: Plastric Surgery after bypass
Hi all,
I wanted to know if there is anyone out there that has had their insurance company pay for platic surgery after their gastric bypass? I am only 3 1/2 months out have lost 101 lbs. But I can see that there will be a lot of excess skin after the weight lose has stopped. I have Aetna, and would like any feed back.
Topic: RE: how many pounds per week r u losen'?
Hi Emily. I slowed down too at 3 months. I quit weighing myself and waited about 3 weeks and finally when I weighed this past Monday, I had lost 5 lbs. I have heard that sometimes your body needs to 'catch up' and it slows down with the weight loss for a while.
I know how you feel though.. i was (and still am sometimes) freaking out thinking that I had stopped losing at 53 lbs. Now I'm up to 58!
I am not going to weigh myself for a few weeks again.. i like that much better than getting ticked off every time I don't see a loss.
You're doing great... just keep up the good work.

Hello Everyone, Congratulations on all your success. I had my surgery on October 28th and
I am down 65 lbs. I'm finally under the 300 lb mark. Somthing I have not seen
in years. I can't wait to be under the 200lb mark. Things are going great! I
can eat just about anything, but I'm trying to stick with the low carb / High protien diet. I'm
walking about a mile a day. I hope to start doing some arobics soon if I can fit them into my
schedule. Taking centrum complete vitamins daily so I've graduated from the Flintsones
chewables.
I'm loving it! Take care all and I wish you all continued success!

Emily,
I just came on this board to ask the same question. Yep, I've slowed down alot, only one or two lbs. a week if I'm lucky. So I joined Curves and have committed to working out.
Today was my first day. Funny thing happened there, I was telling the mgr. I had WLS, she said I was her first client, then the girl next to me told her NO she's not, I had it too!

Hello all... you are doing a wonderful job dealing with all of the issues of WLS
. You are such a positive support in my life. Keep up the posts.
I have lost a total of 62 pounds since my surgery on 10/13/03. I started at 233 and today I am at 171
. I can eat what ever I want in the protein area and enjoy my protein drink in the morning. I dump on more than 6 grams of sugar and 8 grams of fat. I think this is a wonderful tool to keep me honest to myself
. I am thankful that I do because I have noticed I am "testing" the water way to much here lately. I am not exercising faithfully, however I am very active compared to the sedentary life I had 4 months ago![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/mbgraphics/emoticons/dance.gif)

. I am in a size 12-14 from a 24-26 and am thrilled at the idea of going smaller
. I have cleared out my closets and am ready for the next major jump
. Best wishes to all for no plateaus and to hear you are down more next month.

Emily,
Hi I really try not to focus on per week but look at per month. I would make myself crazy! I will lose then sit on a wgt for a couple of weeks and then just drinking 8oz extra water a day or walking extra will start the loss again. Sometimes it's because I'm not eating enough. good luck
