Hi October Sibs!! Today is my 4 month re-birthday. I have lost 80 lbs. overall, 68 of it since surgery. As of today I am 99 lbs. under my all time highest weight, and only 2 lbs. heavier than I was the day I graduated from high school. I am doing very well with my new lifestyle. I've gotten quite regular with my exercise now...except the past few days cuz I put my back out last Wed.!! I have also started dating again...first time in about 3 years!! Actually, I've dated 2 guys so far, with another one that I have chatted with a few times whom I think I will be meeting soon. This is weird and a bit stressful for me as I've never dated more than 1 person at a time, but I'm enjoying being an attractive woman again! Keep up the goodwork...and see you all next month! Hi Ann, I had my surgery on the 30th of October and am down 75 lbs. I take my vitamins most of the time. This means that I generally skip it for whatever the reason twice a week. I prefer the Kirkland brand kids chewables (has adult doseage on back) and also chewable zinc, c, and calcium. All chewable, all yummy. They kinda remind me of eating smarties candy. I take them thru out the day. Like munchies, I also will tote around in the car, fanny pack etc. spray vitamins of all different types so I can just shoot some in my mouth like binaca. I get them from, "VITAMISTSPRAY.NET" I took these over 4 years ago while pregnant and unable to digest without puking any vitamins it was doctor recommended. I drink protien drinks from amway or whoever bought them out because they actually taste good and I also eat the trim vantage protien bars because they both have over 22 grams of protien and no sugar and taste good. As for the gross protien powder, I do have a scoop or two mixed in a blender with 1 banana, 1 container yougart, 1 cup frozen strawberries whole, 1/2 cup milk, and 2 packets of splenda or equal. This drink will last me all day but is loaded with protien and yummy. I am struggling to get in the water but I think for the most part I usually get it in. I too feel like I am pigging out all day... this has me bothered So I am thinking I need to find more stuff to do... keep the hands busy... not sure... I am currently on a little plataeu so I know that I need to increase water and start walking, this usually gets rid of it and weight starts falling off again after that. I also joined the YMCA for the water aerobics. Also I go in once a month for a vitamin B shot for extra energy. I hope this helps. God Bless, Angie

Ann in NC~ I take vitamins religiously! I keep one bottle at work and one bottle at home. B-12 Sublingual, Flintstones Chewable, liquid vitamins for my water and liquid protein. Every morning for breakfast I drink a 4 oz Soya protein shake. I joined a gym and work out 3-4 days per week I have lost 90 pounds in 4 months and my skin is doing better then excepted. >> THE PROBLEM- Hair Loss I lose between 300-500 hairs per day. I am lucky that I had a thick main of hair to begin with....with all the strict guidelines that I follow hair lose cannot be avoided. "Chewables work best for me"

Hello to all of my October Siblings!!! For those of you that have been on this board for a while.. my picture has changed. The one I had been using was the one from right before my surgery (at 310); however, I now have a pic of me at my highest (396) and my current photo. I must like to confuse folks! Anyway, since my RNY in Oct, I've lost 60 lbs. That's -146 lbs since 12/97. Of course, I'm still not satisfied. I want to be losing faster. I'm taking my vits everyday. I haven't had any complications... I haven't vomitted and I don't think I've overeaten yet. I still haven't felt "full", but when I've had enough to eat, I start to feel naseous (sp?). I dump on potatoes and virtually anything starchy. I've also dumped on sugar free candy. I keep track of my daily intake on fitday.com I usually eat between 400-600 calories per day with most coming from protein and fat. I go to the gym and do a weight lifting class about 3 times a week though I haven't been in 2 weeks. I'm going to do the Danskin Triathalon in June in Austin. Let me see what else? I'm down from a 30/32 to a 22 or a tight 20. Keep up the good work!!!! Jackie

Hey Ann, I take my vitamins everyday. I take 2 prenatal vits (1 in the am and 1 in the pm) and I chew 3 - 4 Viactiv chews (calcium). I just set them all out by the computer each day. As I want a dessert... I chew a Viactiv. I was drinking about 90 oz of water a day, but I've gotten lazy lately and started drinking way too much coffee. For example, today I've had about 40 oz of coffee (20 decaf and 20 reg) and 16 oz of water. I've gotta get back to business! As for the calories, I'm eating between 400-600 per day. Jackie

Topic: RE: how many pounds per week r u losen'?
Good Morning Emily, I have been pretty discouraged lately, but I haven't been able to workout in a little more than a week. Well, I say... "not been able to". What I mean is that I'm not in my normal routine and I'm too lazy to do something out of my routine! I am 17 weeks post op and I've lost 60 lbs. So, that's about 3.5 lbs a week on avg. But, I have a WL chart on my profile and I only put up monthly weights on there and the first month I lost 22 lbs, 2nd month 12 lbs, 3rd month 13 lbs and 4th month 13lbs. So, it looks like 12 - 13 lbs a month at this point. I still want to lose another 101 lbs... so, that seems like a long time at that rate, but I'll take what I can get. Topic: 3rd Dilation
I just had my 3rd dilation on Thursday. I'm not a happy camper. If my pain does not go away by Monday, I will probably have to have a CAT scan done to see what's going on. The worse part is the scales are going the wrong way. I think since I am only on liquids right now, I must be retaining some fluids. Hopefully I will be able to eat Sat. evening and I hope it stays down and the scales start to go down. Marilyn
