Hi, and welcome. I don't know what you are talking about with the limb thing. I can eat about the same as you. My amount varies too. It seems I can eat more in the evening than I can in the morning. Maybe it's just in my head though. I feel a kinship with the Oct. people too. Karen
Topic: Doing well, but have a few questions...
Hi Everyone! I'm new to this site, and I want to tell all of you I am so glad I came across it on the web. I feel a sense of kinship with all of you "October '03" folks... On October 13th I checked into Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis weighing 332 lbs. at 5'6" tall. I felt utterly terrible. Now, 5 months post-op, I have lost 92 lbs. (240 lbs. current weight). I have so much energy, and I feel as though I'm back in the game! I have a couple of questions: Dr. Drew gave me a 150 cm. "limb". What does that mean? The PA I've been seeing was surprised by that. He thought I'd have a 75 cm. limb. Sometimes I cannot eat 3/4 cup at a meal, and sometimes I feel I could eat much more. I try to stay at 3/4 cup to 1 cup... is it normal to vary from meal to meal? Finally, what about diet soda? The bubbles don't seem to bother me. Is it okay to drink it? How often? Thanks! cj

Today, I took some friends to San Fransisco. I was able to ride the trolley car and stand on the outside. I walked all over the place including up and down the steep hills. I am tired, but otherwise feel good. I never could have done this 4 months ago. Life is good. Karen

David,
Buttered movie theatre popcorn is OF THE DEVIL!!! I had some a couple of weeks ago and I was SOOOOO sick. I was in a crowded theatre with these HUGE long rows which of course I happened to be sitting in the middle of. I vomit quite easily and I knew that's what I would do if I went to the bathroom so I tried to wait it out. NO good. At the end of the movie I RAN out to the ladies room and pukes my guts out. I have no problem whatsoever with regular non-buttered movie theatre popcorn, but that "butter" stuff is evil... EVIL!
You're not alone.

Topic: RE: Not dropping any dress sizes!!!!
Hi Angela,
I know just how you feel! I have lost around 80 lbs. and have only went down from a 26-28 to a 22-24. It is very fustrating. I went to my support group on sat. and mention this, and quite a few people said that had happen to them. They said not to worry it will come off, just give it time. My support group is great! I hope this helps you, I know it made me feel a lot better.

Hello,
I have lost 82 pounds since surgery and have gone from a 28 or 30 in dresses to a 20, 3x to 4 x tops to a 1x or 2x, and 16/18 in jeans from a 22/24. I feel great, though I really need to have a regular exercise program. Good luck to all!!\\
