Topic: RE: I didn't know this board was here....
Susan, I too didn't find this board until just recently. I'm so glad I did. It's much nicer to see how people around the same time as I am are doing!
WOW two of you and the century club (okay one almost there) that is soooo COOL! I'm jealous (yes I know - it is not good to compare yourself to others) wish I was there, but am happy with how I'm doing so far.
I too avoid surgars and carbs. I'm big into protein FIRST and most times only.
My sad part (or at least I wish I had a part) is my hair. I'm losing so much of it it's UNREAL. I went to Disney World last week (got back Friday) and had to buy a hat because the sun was burning my scalp. I've got VERy short hair already so I'm in mega freak out mode.
Good job!

Topic: RE: I watched Away the Pounds!!!!
ROFLMAO - "watched away the pounds!" That just made me laugh! THe part that didn't make me laugh was that you're not feeling good. I'm sorry about that.
I can tell you this though (which is easier said than done). You can still exercise if you're sick as long as you're not running a major fever. I am not able to do it very often.
the upside as another poster said, YOU GOT UP! That in itself is a blessing. Perhaps a walk around your living room might help a little bit. Just remember this too will pass. I hope you feel better soon.
Topic: RE: What about the Pill?
I can only speak of how I reacted to the Pill when I was Pre-Op. I didn't do too well with it. I gained weight and was miserable. I tried NUMEROUS things for birth control and my favorite one (one I stuck with the longest) was an IUD. I had regular periods and they were SHORT! However, they did flow HEAVY the second day. They only lasted 4 at the most though.
Topic: Hood Milk
Has anyone tried it yet? I just bought the chocolate milk last night and it is so good! It's nice and thick and yummy! You've just GOTTA try it!

Topic: RE: Calories
I generally get in between 500 - 800 calories a day. I don't really count calories though. I only know because Fitday tells me how much I've consumed. My doc doesn't want me worrying about stuff like that. He wants me to focus on protein and veggies.

Topic: RE: What are you eating?
For breakast and lunch I had tuna fish. Dinner will be some beef stew. I've drank lots of water today. I'm over 72 ounces for water so far.
Topic: RE: My Weight Loss is Very SLOW
Lady, I'm not sure at what weight you started out at. I'm also not sure what type of foods you eat. Can you give me an idea? Perhaps I might have some insight then.
I'm down 78 pounds and think it's really excellent! So don't be too upset about 64 pounds. I can't think of any diet I've been on when I've lost that amount of weight in that time.
Buck up camper! It's ALL GOOD! Just think of how much better you feel RIGHT NOW! That's got to be some great motiviation!
I'm proud of your accomplishment so far! Keep up the good work. Oh and YES, you're CRAZY GIRL

Topic: RE: What is your goal?
Erin, I too had many goals. The most recent one I accomplished was to be 179 when I went to Disney World on 3/18.
Now it's to be at the Dr.s goal weight of 150. My personal goal is 143. I'm not too far away!
