Topic: RE: Calories
Hi Linda! I'm at 98.5 lbs. lost, and I recently asked my doc about calories. He said I don't have to worry about that right now, so I try not to. However, being 44 yrs. old and a calorie counter since Jr. High School... it's a tough habit to break! I think I consume between 800-1000 calories per day. The thing I *have* to do is exercise! Jeez! I think I could lose faster, or keep on losing if I would start a regular exercise program. I live in Minnesota and it's been so cold! With all of this weight loss I am absolutely freezing most of the time. I go to bed with socks, sweats, top and sweatshirt over that! I feel motivated, but haven't put my motivation into action...

Topic: Crystal Light invention
Just wanted to share my new invention to help me get down water. I take 2 containers of Crystal Light strawberry/orange/banana, and 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. of almond extract and mix it with a little shy of 2 quarts of water. This tastes something like wedding punch and is so good to me. I sip on it (serve over ice) all day long and seems like such a treat to me. Let me know how you like it. If anyone else has any ideas, please share!! Good luck to all you loosers out there!! Stacy McClain 310/225/150 goal RNY 10-1-03

Topic: RE: Hood Milk
I love the regular Carb Countdown milk. I love milk anyway, and drinking it is such a treat to me. I don't care for the chocolate for some reason, though. I usually drink an Atkins Chocolate Royale shake that I chill till it's "slushy" - absolutely yummy!! Stacy McClain 310/225/150 goal RNY 10-1-03

Topic: RE: My Weight Loss is Very SLOW
Thanks for the response Denise. I started out weighing 336. I am now 271 so actually that is 65 pounds. I had a lot of trouble about my 3 to 4 th month out because I was on a Soy based protein, which we do not absorb well, so everything I thought i was doing right i was actually doing wrong. I was gaining and loosing hair. So i had to stop all of the Soy stuff and do the whey protein. I get in at least 2 protein drinks a day and I eat my chicken and fish and cheese and my vegetables. I only do splenda and i do veggies and some fruit. I do the Hood carb Count down milk. I am always watching my intake amount. I never eat until i am full. I have gone from a 32 to a 20 and I do not exercise regularly. Thats about it. Adrienne

Topic: RE: What is your goal?
Erin, Hello, I was 276 pounds when I had my surgery and I am now 200 pounds after 5 months. My short-term goal is 175 and I am 25 pounds from this goal. (whoo hoooo!!). My mid-point goal is 150 (lower than what my doctor has set for me). My doctor set my long-term goal at 155. I have personally set my long-term goal for 135 or 140. My reasoning for setting it a little lower is due to the fact that I have heard from so many people that there is a good chance one can put up to 50 pounds back on after all the hard work. I just want to be prepared in case this should happen to me. Sincerely, Cherry 276/200

Topic: RE: Calories
Goodmorning, Currently I am 5 months post- op with a 76 pound loss. I am finally over my PLATEAU!!!!! Anyway, My doctor says that I need to be at 900 to 965 calories at this time in order to maintain and to continue to lose weight. I work out twice a day, so I need more calories to maintain my body. However, I am struggling to get to 900. I'm really close though. I'm at about 750 to 850. Sincerely, Cherry 276-200
