Hello everyone, When I started this journey I was a solid 28. Now I am a effie 14. Meaning I can wear some size 12s. I have lost a total of 95 pounds. Which is amazing. I also feel my appetite is growing. Which is scarey. I am so excited though that we all only have one way to go and that is down. SO lets give ourselves a and a pat on the back we all deserve it. CONGRATULATIONS.

Hi Constance, Thanks for the support. We just have to be that extra push for ona another. I am a Carbaholic, so I have to watch those and I do good on my protein. I just do not exercise like I should, but I am really trying. Adrienne

Hey Lady, I am in the same boat as you, I thought I was the only one.. I had my open RNY 10/31/03; 272/207 I've lost 65 pounds. I know several people who have had the surgery that seemed to have lost a lot faster. I know everyone loses at a different pace but I want it faster!!!! I just can't seem to diet anymore. so, I don't count anything, protein, calories, carbs, nothing. I just eat alot less and try to get in my water. I started off exercising regularly but have slacked off this past month. I'm going to try to get back on track and start exercising again and try to at least count my protein. Good luck to you girl, we've come too far to get discouraged. Time heals all they say and our time is coming!

I had mine 10/10/03 I have lost 88 lbs since,,but a lot of inches,,,some times i have not lost lbs but have lost inches,,,up your protien and water,,,walk,walk,walk

Hi Stacy; I feel the same way. Your doing great! 87 pounds in six months, wow! I wish that I was doing that great. I had my open rny on 10/31/03. so far to date I've lost 65 pounds. My weight loss seems very slow. Sometimes I blame myself because I don't follow a low carb diet. I just can't seem to "DIET" at all. I just eat smaller portions. I was hoping to loose 100lbs by now also. At this rate I'll be lucky to get there in a year. I started my weight at 272 and am now at 206. I can't wait to get out of my 200's. Anyway, I'll keep chugging along as will you and we will get to goal.

I started at 308# and today I weighed in at 223#--that is 85#-- I started wearing a size 36w and now wear a size 18--I do my treadmill as much as possible--(hectic work schedual--workacholic) I recently ordered the Total Gym--can't wait for it to arrive. Linda

Today I went to my family Dr. to get some allergery pills refilled and he weighed me. Well my home scale is a piece of junk!! and I was very happy to find that out, because I now weight 223# (down from 308#) that is 85# weight loss since Oct 23-03---I am doing the happy dance tonight Linda

Hello Everyone, WOW! It seems as if everyone is doing great........except me. I have lost 71 pounds since Oct. 20, and I am getting very discouraged. I do exercise, I always have. My doctor told me that is probably why my weight loss seems slow to me, he actually thinks I'm doing great. I am averaging between a 1-2 pound loss each week. There have even been a few weeks when I didn't lose anything at all. I am trying to stay positive, as long as it's going down and not up. I really could use some encouragement and maybe some new ideas for food. I mostly eat grilled chicken breast or protein bars and shakes. I do try to have a bit of fruit and vegetables each day. I have started having the muchies again. It's as if I can't get satisfied. I know I'm not hungry but I have munched on cheese nips a few times and I love baked Doritos. I will put just a few in a bowl and put the box away. Still I know the carbs are BAD! Help! Any suggestions would be great. Keep up the good work. Thanks, Sheila

Hi! I had mine Oct. 30 2003 and am down 85 lbs. Have gone from a size 28 to a size 16/18 ... 18s kinda big 16s kinda tight. I am wondering how everyone's appetite is? Mine seems to have increased lately and was wondering if this is normal or not. I also seem to have been stuck on the same # for about 2 weeks. Congrats to everyone!
