A kick in the butt, indeed, I think not! You know this new journey we're on is not an overnight fix. Like you I have trouble exercising (old habits die hard) but I watch what I eat and walk at work and other places. You're doing great, almost 100lbs since October! Be proud of yourself, stand tall and be your best and if you don't make it to the gym, then there's always tomorrow. I've lost 130 lbs since my surgery 10/21 and I have my moments in the sun and glory and then some not so graceful moments; everyday is a new discovery and everyday I challenge what I can and move forward. Good luck on your continued journey to the new you. Bill

Topic: I NEED A KICK IN THE BUTT!
Hi guys, I know I am going to get slammed. But maybe that is what I need to get going. I read the post's of everyone walking a 100 miles a week (not really a 100!!) And I feel so ashamed of myself I have lost 94lbs since surgery (10/13/03). I know I should be exercising and watching what I eat, for some reason I just can't get the motivation to do it! I feel great, so I know I should get off my dead a$$ and do some walking or SOMETHING. I always make excusses for not doing it. Now, I am pretty good about the eating. I stay away from bread, high fatty food and sugar. Does anyone have any motivation suggestions? BESIDES the obvious; this wonderful gift I have been given. Is there anyone else out there going through this? Thanks Renita 323/229

Topic: PLS RESPOND ASAP....SURGERY CANCELLED
My brother was scheduled to WLS surgery today. Dr. Yancey cancelled it because his blood pressure was VERY HIGH. (Good Doc). However its like he's back one step, and working very hard to get that pressure under control enough to have the surgery. What can he do to get it down enough to have surgery next week. Has anyone out there experienced this. PLEASE GIVE US INFO...it is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance...God Bless

Hello - I didn't know this board existed until today - Glad to find a place where there are others who share the same rebirthday month. Hope everyone is doing good - I go for my 6 month check up tomorrow focusing on my health more than pounds lost. I'm looking forward to coming here daily (or when work allows) Laura 10/14/03 RNY 243/165/130

Thanks Blessed I read the bottle and it said that you could put it in your favorite recipes but it didn't specify more than that. I will do a search for Susan Maria when I get home. Thanks and have a great day!!!!!

Ms. Rikka, You may want to talk to Susan Maria about this, she has mentioned it before on the main message board. The protein breaks down if it is boiled or cooked, I think you can add it in after the coffee is brewed but I don't know for sure. Maybe check the main obesity help library on this subject too. Blessings to you on your journey.

Hi fellow posties, I've been mentioning this group a lot lately in posts on my other groups. Have tried to get some of "our" sisters/brothers to join this board, so don't be surprised to see some new faces. Hope so anyway. Sandra 317/210/175
