In 6 months I am going to my first NASCAR race at Talledega. I am so excited and I would really like to be down to 225 but at the rate I am going now, I think that may be unrealistic. I will be seeing my brother then and probably not before(seen him at Christmastime), so I would love to be able to not be recognized by him and also to weigh less than him which would be a first in our lifetime!! (he weights 240 right now). To be able to go to a race in the past would have been impossible because of the walking that is involved. I have been at a plateau for the past month, but I have started walking a couple of extra times a day on the treadmill this past week. I am fighting with a nut problem (lol) I have gotten hooked on sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds and mixed nuts so I guess I better start leaving them alone (I eat them instead of a meal -they do have protein). It seems like most people will have the main part of their weight off in one year, but since I am older, I think I will probably be struggling with it still. Marilyn, Let me tell you. I feel better this morning after taking some Malox last night. But I have lost the 5 pounds that I had gained. I stopped drinking Propel for 2 days and the water was pouring off of me. The sodium in Propel was causing me to retain water. I drank like 4 to 5 propels a day. I am so mad, because I love Propel. But propel has 35mg of sodium in it. Everytime I find something I like and sits well I gain from it. Adrienne

Adrienne--are you drinking your water out of a cap that is like on the Propel bottles?? If so, stop doing that for a couple of days and see if that makes a difference. I went thru CAT scan and almost exploratory surgery and during the CAT scan I had to use a straw at the end of the test and thought "this sure is like sipping form the Propel cap" and stopped it that day, within 2 days the pain was gone. Hope it is something this simple. Marilyn

Topic: It Never Fails to Amaze Me!!!!
Hi All, I am first proud to say that I have loss those 5 pounds that I had gained. But I am sad to say that it was the Propel water that I was drinking 5 to 6 a day that was causing me to retain fluid. It has 35mg of sodium in it. I knew something was wrong, never guessed it was the Propel... Everytime, i find something I like and can tolerate, that I think is ok for me, it turns out to make me gain weight. So anyhoo, I am glad i found out. I did not drink any Propel for 2 days and the water was just pouring off of me. Oh, well. Plain ole water from here on out. I think I better read labels a little better Adrienne
