Right now. The five most healthy things I eat are yogurt, nuts, cheese, spinage salad, and mandrine oranges. I crave the oranges all the time. I limit myself to one can a day. Karen

Emily, My 5 healthy foods would have to be: Salmon (canned or fresh), brussell sprouts, strawberries, nuts, beef jerkey. I love most veggies and fruit so I think I eat pretty healthy. I love Salmon right now it has great protein and vitamins and amino acids. Blessings to you on your journey.

Just had a super meeting with plastic surgeon at our support meeting. Dr. Adair (PS) said that if your with in "range" of your goal that he has no problem doing it before the recommended year wait. He stated that even if things move around and that's what your waiting on it is still ok to do it early. He stated that ps is one of those case by case things. SO, that said and knowing that my surgeon wants me to wait till i am at 18 MONTHS to even begin the process even though i am within 25 pounds of goal, i guess i need to put some thought into it and decide whats best for me. At this time i would say for you to make an innitial consult with several PS in your area and see what their recomendations are. Judy 233/157/130

Hello: I believe it is 1 year. This allows your body to adjust to the weight loss. We are still loosing. My doctor has started documenting everything (rashes and creams). So hopefully when the time comes I will have what I need. Can sooo understand. Hopes this helps. Marie

Hi Carolyn, I can totally relate to this question. I also started running and my tummy flaps alot. I just wear tight fitting biker shorts under my sweats to help stop this. I also wear two sports bras to keep everything up top from flapping around as well. I have heard the same as Frvsnt One, to wait at least a year from surgery then start looking into it. I am hoping my insurance will cover this because I certainly can't afford it. I know that my upper arm skin is alot better than it could be because I lift weights every other day. Until then lift weights, do lots of crunches and wear those tighter under clothings to help. Blessings to you on your journey.

Carolyn, just when I thought I was escaping the loose skin I put on shorts and noticed that my thighs have some "elastic" to them. YUCK! I already noticed it in my arms, but resigned to that. I don't (surprisingly) have any problems in my tummy or boob area. In fact, my boobs still look NORMAL (go figure). I've heard they want you to be at goal for a year before you start playing around with another surgery. Your body still shifts and changes, so you might be surprised!

Topic: plastic surgeon? When
When is it time to go see the plastic surgeon? I had my surgery on the 22 ND of October and have lost 100 lb. I am 5' 6" and was 273 the morning of surgery. I now enjoy running and biking and the excess skin is getting in the way when I ride my bike and kind of bounce up and down when I run. also will insurance pay to have your boobs put back. Mine have completely deflated. I have to where sports bras all the time. I also have a very bad rash under my boobs and belly. I would love to go see what could be done ASAP. But I am afraid it is to soon. Suggestion? Carolyn

I have had a big loss this month.I started craving tuna and was having it for almost every meal and found that I could eat more, which started to worry me until I jumped on the scale at Docs for 6 month check up and was down 20 lbs from last months weigh in.I just attributed it to all the extra protein.
