Topic: RE: 6 months out how much have you lost????
Oh Teri - I'm in the same boat. I started at 250 and have been sitting at 170 for more than two months - it is so frustrating ang I'm so afraid I've just stopped losing. I exercise more than I ever have, and eat reasonably (altho not pure protien) but avoid candy, cookies and the sugar stuff - no soda, no alcoholic stuff - drink tons of water - but no change. Folks around me think I'm crazy for complaining - but I want to lose at least another 25 pounds - and here I am again dieting and not losing! Can you believe it? Then I had a friend of mine die from RNY surgery post op (embellism) three weeks ago and now I really feel like an idiot whining about my weight loss - Ah! what a conundrum! But the truth is - I'm getting kind of angry. Oh well - thanks for letting me vent - I saw your response and was just wanting to know if there are others in my same situation - thanks for posting.

Hi Tanya! I am frozen at 95lbs down, for 3 weeks now. Oh well, it too shall drop. I am down in sizes to a 16 in most things now and feeling really good. Exercise 5 times a week, walking and airdyne. Pool is almost warm enough for my delicate tootsies!
Anyway, keep up the good work. I cannot believe it will be 7 months in a few weeks. Unreal! God Bless! LeeAnn

Hi Tanya and all my October siblings, Time sure is moving along. I can't believe I am at my 7 month anniversary. Pretty soon it will be a year for all of us. I am down to 190 and fitting into a size 10 jean. I am so amazed every time I weigh myself on my anniversary. It is a blessing for sure. I exercise 5/6 times a week sometimes 2x a day. I have noticed my appetite increasing these last couple of months so I try to compensate with more exercise. I am so blessed and thankful for this surgery, it has allowed me to enjoy life again. Blessings to all of you on your journey.

Tanya:
I'm so sorry to hear you're feeling lousy with the stomach virus. Good for you for going to see your PCP.
I'm working out 4-5 times a week, never taking more than 1 day off between workouts. I find this keeps me going and makes it a habit. The weight loss has slowed down but the inches are really coming off lately, like my skin is playing catch-up to the scale. All the clothes I bought back in March for a cruise are now too big! I hoped I could get through at least part of june with them, but not when the skirts fall right off! Time to go shopping again, darn!
Hang in there, take care of yourself, you'll be at the century mark in no time!

Topic: I ate chicken!!!!!
Hi all,
As I've posted recently and some have commented back to me on... I have problems keeping meat down. Everything from shrimp, crab, oily fish, beef and chicken. Tuna seemed to be the only thing I could reliably keep down.
Anyway, last night I was out with people from a support group and we went to Chili's. I decided to go ahead and try chicken again (though I was supposed to wait 2 more months... I'm sick of baby-ing my pouch!) So I split some chicken with another post-op patient. It was grilled but very very moist. I had one small piece which people at the table agreed was 1 oz. I ate it VERY slowly, and kept it down! I'm so excited! I'm going to continue to take it slow but I felt this was a major victory toward getting back into the meat-eating game!
I'll always love tofu, but it's hard to get vegatarian protein dishes when out at restaurants when you're avoiding meat. I'm happy!

Topic: May 04 Roll Call
Sorry everyone I was late in posting this but here goes. I am down 97 pounds (soooo close to the cent!) I am still working out 6-7 times per week and eating right a drinking my fluids. I have had a stomache viris for 10 days now and am going to see the doctor today. Everything I eat just goes thru me and I am getting dehydrated. I talked to my surgeons office and it is not surgery related. I want this to stop though so off to my pcp i GO.
So how is everyone else doing????

Topic: RE: how much can you eat now??
Hi Melinda,
I max out on 1 small banana + 1 teaspoon of peanut butter, or 1 egg. I can eat about 2 oz of cheese now, as opposed to 1 oz right after surgery. I'm worried that I'm not eating enough, but I try to eat more frequently to get the protein in. Funny how we're all so different and are nervous about different things!
Big congrats on the weight loss. Welcome to the century club!

Ask your PCP for a prescription diuretic.I take one 2x a week and it really helps.
