Marie, I'm sorry you have to deal with this negitivity. I have only had positive feedback on my surgery and weight loss. I wonder if your sister-in-law is jealous. Is she a queen bee type and wants all the attention? I wonder what she would do if you replied with, "Why are you so negitive? I wish you could be happy for me." Then walk off. Remember people can only continue to hurt you if you allow it. I used to be the biggest whimp. I don't know if it's age or experience, but I stand up for myself better now. You need to do that too. Topic: It's time for the "vows"
Hi Everybody!
I had a hard time keeping one of my vows last week.
The one where I said that I would handle anything that was thrown my way. Something really bad happened in my family, and I had a hard time dealing with it, so this week, I'm going to stick to the vows that I have control over. I "vow" to eat healthy and exercise.
What do you "vow"?

Topic: RE: May 04 Roll Call
Hello October buddies.
I've hit the plataue and I feel stuck. I've lost 90 lbs. But I've been
stuck her for about a month now. I have my 6 month blood work done and
I've been told I need to take an iron supplement. I've been
feeling physically drained and maybe the low iron has something to do with it.
At least I know I'm not alone we all have our plataues and mine too will pass.
I plan on upping my protien and water intake and getting back to my
excercise program. My oldest left for the Air Force two weeks ago
and I went on an emotional roller coaster which threw me off schedule
as far as my workouts. I miss them and plan on making today the day I
get back on track.
Congrats to everyone's success.. Someday I'll be in the century club
I have faith.

Thanks.
I know what you say is true and I am soo glad that I am no longer taking meds and healthy but words still hurt especially from people that you have grown up with. You always have that faith that they should be your support.
Hubby is always supportive which makes it awesome and I have family that is too, but it just takes one person to make you sad
thanks for the encouragement and reminder of a healthy life.
Marie

Marie, It sounds like some members of your family are jealous and not happy for you. Sagging skin is much better than diabetes or multiple weight problems. I wouldn't give them a second thought. As long as you and your hubby are happy that's all that matters. Blessings~

Hello
Jane
I have been experiencing "anger" but because I am no longer over weight. My sister-in-law has really made my life terrible. Mother's day was not the best at the in-laws. Comments were made about how my skin is saggin underneath my chin how I no longer have a healthy glow.
.
Its a mess.
. As much as I do not want the words to hurt me they do. But I am trying to stay positive because I love the new me and hubby does too. SO who cares right. Sad but I do. At one time she was my best friend.

To everyone- You are all doing GREAT!!!! Congratulations on your success!
I was on a pretty bad plateau until I kick up the protein and started working out six days a week rather than four. I have now lost a total of 83 pounds since 10/20/03 (276/193). I saw my doctor that performed my surgery and she was thrilled with my weightloss. I'm down from a 22/24 to a misses size 14. I can't believe how my body is falling into place eventhough my weightloss is very slow these days. My boobies have gone down very much so and my waist has become very defined. (I actually think that I'm a Foxy Momma these days. My doctor told me at this point she wants me to just work out really hard and to focus on toning rather than watching the scale. I am very close to my goal of 155 pounds (38 pounds to go). Since I took her advice, I have lost six pounds in the last two weeks (that's really good for me now a days). Anyway, I'm no longer stressing over the weight loss- I'm taking it all in stride and just learning to be more positive on a daily basis and to be thankful for where God has brought me.
Take care and be blessed,
Cherry

I have also noticed this phenomonon. I wonder if it is because I look better now or if I carry myself with more confidence. I know I walk with more bounce in my step. I also have new clothes and feel so much better about my appearance. That shows through to the world. Attention doesn't bother me, I have always been a social butterfly. Last week I went to lunch with a lady who I just met at church. She is overweight and told me it bothers her. I said, "I know what you mean." I showed her my drivers licence. I felt bad for her, because I really do know what she is going through. Karen

Jane, I have been a wee bit angry at this myself. I seem to get offered more help at the stores alot more hellos and how are you's are thrown my way. I even had one guy give me the up and down look. I was repulsed. It isn't what is on the outside that matters, it never has for me. I am so thankful for my wonderful husband who has loved me through thick and thin
Blessings to you

Topic: RE: I ate chicken!!!!!
Congratulations!! Have you tried eating pork such as ham or sausage? Chicken has not been my friend, but pork I tolerate fairly well. I went on Vacation this past week and ate at several buffet bars and found that the oriental chicken in a glaze was pretty easy going down. Good luck.
