Thanks Jane! I can always count on you for good things to say! It has been one helluva year that is TRUE! I figure I must be able to handle it because I'm not dead yet. I had an appointment with a surgeon on Friday, but my stupid Dr.'s office sent me to the wrong surgeon. So they wouldn't even let me past the front door. I sat down and cried in their lobby and they found me a surgeon to see on Thursday. I was really hoping this would be over with this week, but NOPE! I'm hanging!!! BTW - LOVE your new pic!!! It's very cute!

HANG IN THERE, GIRL!!! Things will start to get better. Summer's almost here, so you're just getting things out of the way, now. Keep your chin up! I know it's been a hell of a year for you, but you're one tough cookie!!! Take care, and you are in my prayers. Your Buddy, Jane

Okay, so I've had so much stuff happen to me lately my head is spinning. 4 thrombosis hemmerhoids removed in 10 months and the last ones were carved down to the muscle. Oh joy! Then I had a bladder infection. Then a kidney infection (which I think is COMPLETELY weird because I drink TONS of water) and then I developed a yeast infection from the stupid antibiotics. (I was thinking I'd never get my hands out of my pants one day!) Well 3 weeks ago I discovered a lump in my arm. I went to the dr. they did an ultra sound (inconculsive) then a mammogram (the girls might be saggy and lumpy but they're fine) and finally an MRI. They did say it was a tumor and it would have to come out. I see a surgeon tomorrow, but I'm just so depressed. I was up ALL night last night with pain from this stupid thing. Just whining...keep me in your prayers. Thanks RNY 10/31/03 257/130

Hi Janice, Life is good! Just look at all you've accomplished in this short of a time. You've lost 125 lbs - WOW! Just pick yourself up & go for it - you can get rid of the last forty lbs. Think of it as 1 lb at a time & try to do everything like you did at the beginning... it will start falling off. YOU CAN DO IT. Take care. Judy

Hello everyone. I know I haven't posted in a while. I don't know if that is because I am too busy trying to keep active, or because even though I have lost 125 lbs I still fell like a bit of a failure because I need to lose 40 more and am not making any progress. I know what I am doing wrong- too much snacking, not enough exercise- but I knew what I did wrong before WLS and couldn't seem to change those bad habits then either. Anyway, I do feel great. Knee pain is almost gone, I am doing lots of gardening, and I actually rode a bicycle for the first time in 15 years! Life is good! Janice 320/195/?

I can eat 1/2 a sandwich at about the same rate that I always did. I do have to chew it much more thoroughly. The last half of the sandwich takes a long time. I usually "snack" on it for 30-60 minutes. If I eat any faster it just makes me sick. I have to pay attention to what my stoamch is telling me. Some days I can eat it all, rarely. On average, I can finish an average size homemade sandwich or a 6" say, Subway tuna sandwich in about 45 minutes.

No major changes for me. I'm still around 188 lbs which is within my weight range. I was a mere 13 pounds overweight in high school when I was at 215 lbs. I've changed jobs recently so have to get at least two weeks sick leave saved up so I can have a tummy tuck. I need a full body tuck if ya know what I mean but that isn't going to happen. My wife calls me Shar Pei butt. For those of you who have had a tuck, is two weeks off from work about right? Hugs, Joe

Topic: PS for me?
Well, I had to go to the Dr. today because I found a pretty big lump in my arm between my armpit and my elbow (closer to elbow). She decided to do a breast exam too and when I unleashed the girls, I think she was horrified (truth be known I am too when I release them!). She asked me about PS. I told her I already went to a PS surgeon and insurance denied me because no medical necessity. Well my Dr. said she'd write a note and send it to the PS surgeon and we could try this again. Have no idea what she's going to write or if it will even work, one can only hope!
