SAndra that is such exciting news!!! I am still 65 pounds from my goal which is 150 but my surgeons goal was 180 and I am 32 pounds from that. A long cry from the 325 I started this journey at and a heck of further than my hightest of 355. You give me encouragement that I can reach both my personal and physicians goal.

PS I go to a womens gym in Arizona called Naturally Woman and LOVE IT! Maybe you could find something simular in Texas. Good luck.

Adriane, I so agree with everything Tanya said. My daughter is currently having issues with me because I weigh 6 pounds more than she does and it's completely freaking her out. In fact, my wrists are smaller than hers along with my ankels! But if I were to lose even 15 more pounds, she'd still look smaller than I do because she's solid muscle and has the most awesomest rockin' body ever (which sucks because she's 14!). I have to keep reminding her it's not the number to be concerned over, it's the way you feel and it's the fact if it's muscle or not.
Take care...

That is so AWESOME!!!!
You must be thrilled. I know I'm thrilled for you just reading your news and I don't even know ya!
I am at the docs goal (actually just a wee bit under it) of 150. He said he wouldn't want me to lose down to more than 135. I am currently 148. So I look at it this way. I'm just wanting 10 more pounds by the end of October.
I'm also very excited because my surgeon is making a visit to my state! Mind you I won't get a docs appt. out of the deal, but he'll see the new me and perhaps can tell me if he wants me to sto*****t. I personally do want those last 10 pounds. It's coming off SLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWLLLLLLLLLLLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY now. But it's all good. 4 more months 10 pounds - easy shmeezy!!!

Congratulations, Sandra! I know you are so excited! You are doing excellent. I am still hovering. I have a sit-down job and I know that is not helping me at all. I want to lose 100 before my 1 year anniversary. I've got 3 months to lose 20 lbs... hope I can do it! Congrats again!

Topic: First Goal Reached
8.5 months ago my goal was to reach a BMI of 29 and get to 185 by my one year anniversary. Yeah! Made it early! 185 this week! Haven't been this small for over 25 years. I'm down 132 lbs although my weight loss has slowed considerably. That's ok, really. I was getting concerned about so much loose skin and my doc recommended I try to slow down to let my skin try to catch up a bit. I added more carbs to my diet and the loss nearly stopped! So I've been on a trial and error-type diet for the past six weeks, trying to keep losing but not too much.
Also quit Curves this week. After 7 months there I was no longer able to get my heart rate up to even the 40% rate in spite of how fast I went on the machines. Couldn't even work up a sweat anymore. So now I'm gym-shopping, looking for one with a trainer who can help me try to tone up a bit and work on this tummy. (The only thing still fat)
I've assigned myself a new goal of 175...ten more pounds by my mid-Oct anniversary date. Fingers crossed. How is everyone else doing?

Tanya, Good for you! I have always wanted to visit them, and we walked by the store last week, but I have never dared their doorsteps. I may try. Although my small eggs, are hardly worthy. I have always been small on top only a size B at over 300 lbs, but even they are flattening out. I may try it now that you have dared the water! Congrats on taking such a brave step. I hope you are feeling better soon! Keep in touch, oh, while I am thinking about it I still need to get back with you about that meeting. God Bless your day! LeeAnn -106

I plan on going to my doctor too... i am having hip pain, mainly in the middle of the night waking me up out of a sleep and in the morning. If I sit too long it's bad too. I am also pretty tired all the time. If I push myself, I am not so tired (if I'm moving around). But, I want to make sure nothing is wrong. I've noticed that my right hand is swollen each morning too.. weird. So, I'm calling today to make an appointment... bad thing is that I need to take off work to go.
Good Luck with your blood work.. hope everything is okay.

I went there a few times but only to buy frangrances & lotion. And thank goodness that part is seperate from the lingerie part. They probably would have laughed me out of the place.
I still wear a 44DD so don't think I can go there just yet but hopefully someday. Congrats on your 'uplifting' experience... i REALLY need some uplifting too, if you know what i mean! LOL
